Doan’s looks unassuming from the outside, but is humongous on the inside. I’ve never been to a nursery with so much selection, with many Asian varieties I’ve never seen anywhere else. I was able to select from a large collection of calamansi (calamondin) trees, kangkong (water spinach), bitter melon, Thai basil, and plenty of other foods I haven’t found outside of an Asian market. Also, the prices are very fair, actually lower than I expected. I’ll definitely be back!
Doan’s Nursery has a great variety of plants and a really nice overall setup. I enjoyed browsing and found some beautiful options. However, a major downside was that most products didn’t have pricing. When I asked for help, the staff on the floor didn’t want to check prices and instead kept directing me to go all the way to the front checkout. I ended up running back and forth with large, heavy pots, which was exhausting. Because of this, the experience was more tiring than enjoyable, even though I did make some purchases. I honestly think I would have stayed longer and bought more if pricing was clearer or if staff could assist better on the floor.

I visited Doan’s Nursery and was really impressed by the quality of their plants. Unlike the wilted or stressed ones you often see at big stores like Home Depot, the plants here look well cared for and healthy, even in the Texas summer heat. They also have a great selection of Asian herbs and vegetables — things that are hard to find elsewhere, especially at this price point. Everything was much more affordable than Home Depot, and the plants looked far better. If you're looking for healthy, heat-tolerant plants and unique herbs (especially Asian varieties), this place is definitely worth checking out.
I’ve bought three plants from here so far. They are healthy, luscious and full .. One of the plans I got for $18 and the rest I got for $20 Great quality plants at a great price. I will definitely be back. And the man that helped me was very nice and helpful
