Duc Phuong Thach Che is a beloved Vietnamese restaurant and dessert house in Houston, Texas, tucked into the Bellaire Boulevard coridor at 11360 Bellaire Blvd #980. With a 4.3 rating across more than 560 reviews, it has built a steady following among locals who come for authentic Vietnamese sweets made fresh and with care. This is a no-frill, carryout-style spot, so the focus stays squarely on the food rather than the dining room.

The star of the menu is chè, the traditional Vietnamese sweet dessert that regulars describe as top-notch, fresh, and balanced—just the right amount of swetness without being heavy. You can explore a range of options, including tofu and durian chè, and one of the nice touches is the ability to build your own combination. Beyond dessert, the shop carries a wide spread of grab-and-go favorites: beef jerky papaya salad, steamed rice cakes with mixed fillings, Vietnamese ham, spring rolls, shrimp salad, Vietnamese sandwiches, fruit smoothies, and iced tea with boba.

The atmosphere is welcoming and family-oriented, with friendly staff who are happy to help first-timers find their way around the menu. Customers often mention being introduced to the place by Vietnamese friends, then returning on their own for deserts and Asian coconut candies. It is a great stop for anyone craving genuine Vietnamese treats to take home, whether you are a longtime fan of chè or trying it for the first time.

Duc Phuong Thach Che is open early, from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM most days, and closed on Wednesdays, making it an easy morning or afternoon visit. If you are searching for authentic Vietnamese deserts and snacks in Houston, this Bellaire Blvd shop is a dependable, community-rooted choice worth a try.

Love coming to Duc Phuong Thach Che for their amazing Vietnamese desserts—the chè is top-notch quality, fresh, flavorful, and just the right balance of sweet and refreshing. Everything tastes authentic and made with care. The service is always very nice and friendly; the staff are welcoming and helpful, even when it’s busy. Bonus points: they accept credit cards for bills over $10 with no extra fee, which is super rare and convenient for Vietnamese spots these days (no more scrambling for cash!). Highly recommend if you’re craving real chè or other Vietnamese sweets. Will definitely be back!

Be careful when you get the prepackaged food. Look for bugs in your food. Usually their food is good, but they need to check on that kitchen hygiene.

No frill Vietnamese dessert and snack house (it's a carryout establishment). I bought beef jerky papaya salad = 5 out of 5 (nicely packaged), purchased a medley of steam rice cake with mixed fillings and toppings 5 out of 5, the tofu and durian che # 6 = 5 out of 5 (just the right amount of sweetness), have a feeling the banh cuon will also be spectacular. Staff are friendly and helpful ( mainly Vietnamese speaking staff) Quality and value is proportionate.

Đức Phương Thạch Chè is a famous Vietnamese dessert restaurant in Houston, Texas. I often come here to buy their Vietnamese sweet desserts and some foods to go such as Vietnamese ham, spring rolls, shrimp salad, Vietnamese sandwiches, fruit smoothies, iced tea with boba, etc. They are always friendly and nice to the customers. Their service is so professional beyond my expectations. They have all kinds of Vietnamese varieties of bean desserts. If you would like to have some Vietnamese Chè, then I would highly recommend that you come here.

I want to thank my Vietnamese friend for showing me this wonderful place. I absolutely love Vietnamese Che! it’s super delicious and I’m grateful that this place offers the choice to make your own. I could tell that this place is family oriented and sells many Asian coconut candies, desserts, rice cakes, etc. My friend and I bought about 10 cups of Che & plenty more sweets! Each cup was around $4 and I loved the flavors of jellies, fruits, and beans in the cups. They also offer Banh mi and packaged ready to eat food.
