Its modest setting, including a compact dining room with about eight tables mentioned by guests, keeps the focus where it belongs: on hot dumplings, noodles, and satisfying shared plates. Pan-fried bao is another notable option, offering a crisp exterior alongside a soft, filled center. For diners seeking more than dumplings, the menu also includes homemade noodles, with spicy beef noodles and tendon with noodles among the dishes customers have enjoyed. These choices make the restaurant appealing whether you are stopping in specifically for soup dumplings or looking for a fuller noodle-based meal.

Several side dishes help round out the experience. The pork chop stands out for guests looking for a classic, substantial plate, while the vegetables and pancakes offer useful additions for sharing. Sesame balls, sometimes offered to diners, have also left a warm impression; customers mention fillings such as bean paste or black sesame. The menu’s range lets a couple order a few favorites or gives families and small groups plenty to divide around the table.

I was surprised at how yummy the dishes were since I'm pretty picky on authentic Chinese food. We ordered string beans, chive and egg box pancakes, pan fried bao and sour spicy soup. Each dish was cooked in perfection. Except they forgot to put black sesame and green onion on the pan fried bao. (Too busy catching up with my friend. Next time I will tell her.) And she gave us free sesame ball for dessert! The sour spicy soup is perfectly paired with all the other dishes. And unlike so many Chinese restaurants who offer little substance in the sour spicy soup, this one was full of yummy tofu and egg flowers. Definitely will order again.

Very simple little place tucked into a little side street off of Grand Ave. Decided to check it out after seeing good reviews—we got pan fried soup dumplings, beef pancake, garlic string beans and chicken chow mein. Owner surprised us with fried sesame balls filled with either a bean paste or black sesame seed paste—absolutely delicious. My favorite dish was the beef pancake—the Chinese black vinegar on the table was an amazing addition to its flavor! Everything was delicious and my leftovers were happily devoured at work the next day. Other reviews refer to this place as a hidden gem and they are absolutely correct. Will be ordering from here and dining in again soon.

What delicious food! The service was quick and options were authentic and delicious. We loved their hot and sour soup and the pan fried soup dumplings. We got sesame balls for dessert on the house. We even left with more food than originally ordered and some extra good fortune!

Plastic drape door and eight tables of holy goodness these dumplings are delicious. This is a great place with clean food. I had tendon and noodles and it tasted like mom’s pork from 1977!
