This place definitely serves one of the freshest and cleanest tasting soup dumplings (xiao long baos) in the DFW area. We had other soup dumplings at other places but Shanghai Taste is the most consistent with quality and freshness. The place is small but very clean with great service. The pan fried baos are also excellent as well as their scallion noodles, fried pork chops and the chocolate baos are a must try to end the meal on delicious sweet note.

Every dish tastes freshly made—nothing feels like it has ever been near a microwave. The flavors are traditional, balanced, and consistently excellent. The staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly, providing great service without being intrusive. I had a great experience at Shanghai Taste. The food was incredibly fresh and full of flavor—you can really tell they put care into every dish. Everything we ordered came out hot, well-prepared, and absolutely delicious. The soup dumplings were so flavorful. Loved the scallion chicken. And the best was the fried shrimp. On top of that, the service was excellent. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. It made the whole dining experience smooth and enjoyable. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to. Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic, high quality Chinese food in Plano.

We also tried the duck, which was incredibly succulent, along with their noodles and fried pork, both of which were full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The fried rice was also excellent and complemented everything really well. Service was quick and efficient despite how busy it gets. Overall, everything we tried hit the spot.
