Janette at Events by the Bay was wonderful to work with. She perfectly executed our vision for our florals. She brought, assembled, and decorated our chuppah and it turned out stunning. Her crew was extremely efficient in setting up and taking down the florals. We were able to keep some of our florals for the brunch the following day and they lasted beautifully. Events by the Bay is also extremely reasonably priced and easy to work with.
Janette is an amazing wedding coordinator! We hired Janette for her day of coordination services, and a few months out we ended up adding florals (bouquets and boutonnieres), and then just a few weeks out we added table florals and some of her rental items. She was so responsive and helpful. The florals were BEAUTIFUL and just what I had hoped for. I couldn't recommend her enough for day of coordination.
My wife & I have absolutely nothing but great things to say about Janette. Within minutes of our initial phone call with her, we felt so much more at ease with the wedding planning process, and she gave clear direction for what we needed to do and what she would do. We hired her for day-of services, which really ought to be called week-of, since she was totally responsive and supportive in the week or so leading up to the big day. We believe that Janette was critical in making our wedding go as well as it did. Apart from the actual work she did, she gave us confidence that the work we were doing ourselves was worthwhile and timely. Anyone having a wedding in the Bay Area would do well to work with her, and I have already recommended her to some friends who are in the early wedding planning stages. Her assistant Fabio, who was present only for the day of the wedding, also deserves some kudos. He was as attentive to our needs as Janette was, and was always present without getting in the way of our enjoyment of our wedding.
I officiated a wedding that Events by the Bay was hired to plan, and I feel it’s important to warn others. The planner was supposed to handle setup and vendor coordination starting Friday, including picking up the flowers from the Airbnb, but she was completely absent. She ignored calls and messages all day, then only reached out Friday evening — not to help or apologize, but to “remind” the couple that payment was due, even though the agreed date was Saturday. With no planner and no support, friends and family had to step in and take over everything — setup, decorating, and coordination. Thankfully, the couple handled everything with incredible grace and still created a beautiful day, but Events by the Bay did everything possible to make it harder. There are so many great, professional planners out there — do yourself a favor and find someone else. ZERO STARS
