I have a confession - I get my nails painted on vacation, the only “safe” time I can do it. I typically do a regular polish - this place is gel-only. Booked a last-minute time with Sierra when I was in town last week. Sure, there’s cheaper places to do it, the attention to detail my tech had as well as the measures taken to maintain a safe working environment was worth it. The gel polish held up to a weekend of bike shenanigans for Pedalpalooza(and other things).
I’ve been seeing Tessa at Fingerbang for the last 8 or so months and it’s been amazing. She’s so good! I’ve seen other artists in Portland before that operate out of a private studio, and I prefer the environment at Fingerbang full of artists. If I have a schedule conflict or if Tessa gets sick, my nails can still be fixed by someone trustworthy at the salon and I love that. My last private studio I went to had policies and rules that made it a chore to get my nails done. Tessa is just as talented as those private studios but she’s incredibly professional and creative and operates in this structured studio space that makes it easy for me to just show up at my scheduled time without silly extra rules. Pricing is clear and simple and I’m never surprised. One thing I love is that although Tessa has amazing taste, she never judges me for simple choices or expresses less than positive sentiments on the designs I want. She ALWAYS takes care of my nail health, first. I’ve been able to transition out of gelX and now it’s just my natural nails! I’ve never had long natural nails like this, they’re so strong and I’ve never had a single break. I love that she does immaculate and clean single color, but she also has insane skill to be able to do the more fun stuff too. Yes, pricing is high, but if you’re ready to commit to your nail health and you have the funds it is well worth it. Love!
My friends and I went in for a special occasion, it did not disappoint. I made us appointments online for gel and simple design. ~$100/person+tip We waited like a minute and then met our professionals and got to work. Super inclusive. The person I worked with was sweet, did a great job listing to my ideas and reviewing photos and executed perfectly. Same experience for my friends. Run don’t walk to Finger Bang for rad nails and fun vibes.

I love this place! Gabby was amazing and so sweet. The venue is huge and I highly recommend! I just got a gel manicure with a single color design. Took around 2 h.
