French Nail

I actually really liked this place and the people who work here. The atmosphere inside is calming and the location is easily accessible by foot for those who live in the Wedgwood area. I love the color and the shape of the nails as well. The downside is the price. For $85, I am surprised that the nails have uneven bits and began to crack after just 3 days. The surface of the nail is still shiny and smooth, but not below. This indicates to me that some part of the process may have been neglected. Beforehand, my nails and cuticles were not trimmed or prepped, neither was the dry skin around the nail. One of the nails is ripping off after just 6 days, and I have to secure it in place with a bandaid because it is painful. I enjoyed Heidi (AKA “Big Boss”), the other employees, and the atmosphere. I am generally happy with the manicure overall, but I am struggling to rationalize how the price aligns with the result.

I have had several positive experiences here. However, the two most recent times, I had the same tech and had a very negative experience. The first of those, my cuticles were quite shredded by the end. I went back 3 weeks later (would have waited longer, but needed nails done for a wedding I was in), had the same text, and asked her to please not clean up/cut/push at my cuticles at all. She did, though, and I left with bloody cuticles on several of my fingers. One of them ended got infected, and I had to see my doctor and get antibiotics to treat it. Unfortunately despite multiple positive experiences I will not go back to make sure I don’t have a repeat of the negative experience!

Always wonderful care and service. Appreciate their willingness to add fun nail details for my daughter and me. Mena is superb in her attention to detail.

Friendly, cozy, and professional vibe. It was a warmer spring day and the inside temp was comfortable. Great airflow, didn’t smell too strongly of polish. Pedicure was fairly priced for the service I received. I will be back!

My first time at French nail and it was so nice! I walked in and they already had lot of customers, I got lucky! The owners and technicians were friendly and made sure customers gets good care. Today, Angie was my technician and she was so skillful! I love love love the result on my hand. She was very thorough and delicate with my nails and designed very carefully. I will definitely come back for Angie! I’m so glad I found this nail place after I moved back to seattle from California! ♥️
