I stared outside looking up at the sign for a while trying to figure out how to say their name. Is it German? Some Slavic country? After a while of staring, it was getting hot and I said to myself, meh forget about it, and just headed on in to give it a try. Got the BLT and it was definitely solid.
I've been wanting to try Fuhgedaboudit for a while because I love sandwiches and bagels. Knowing Houston bagels are pretty average at best, I prepared my expectations accordingly. I got the Hell's Kitchen, and wow, what a great sandwich. The bagel greatly exceeded my expectations, and the fillings were top quality. I went with the Asiago bagel and had it toasted. It had just the perfect amount of "chew". It was very filling. I wish I hadn't waited so long to try it. On my next trip, I plan to try the Chairman. The store was very clean and the staff was friendly and efficient. They close at 1, so it's breakfast and lunch only. I guess the last thing I need is a big sandwich like that before bed. Lol
Excellent bacon egg and cheese. Had it on an everything bagel. Also had a bagel ball, and Taylor ham, which was also good. One of the things I miss from up north is a good be&c bagel and it was great to find one here. Bagel is dense, crisp up top and surprisingly difficult to do but the toppings actually stayed on the bagel. Will be. Returning soon.
My third time coming here bc it’s so yummy & this third time.. was AMAZINGGG!!! Amazing service, amazing people, SO kind & SO helpful! I am very serious about quality customer service & I so so enjoyed my little experience with the team this morning!! The man that made my sandwich was raving about the tribeca cream cheese & I’m going to have to get that on my sandwich everytime!!! Delicioussss!!! Thanks so much yall! The shop is a good size- lots of variety to choose from a today we got the Chairman and the Hell’s Kitchen sandwiches and they didn’t disappoint! If you dig into them right away there’s a light crunch that’s soooo satisfying, and the chewiness of the bagels is perfect. The bacon was great and crispy too!
