Me and a bunch of people went for the neopets x Gong Cha collaboration. A handful of us waited outside hours before opening. The owner was not expecting the turnout, but listened to the first people in line and went to grab the last of the plushies that had been left behind. We also asked her if she could put a limit to how many each person could buy, because we knew there were a lot of neopets fans in line, and some obvious scalpers. The company didn’t create a limit, but the owner said she would, which meant that even though they sold out very quickly, more people were able to enjoy them. She even mixed the boxes up when we asked, since we heard from people who bought them on the east coast that the blind boxes weren’t shuffled at all and most people got duplicates. Even with the chaos, the employees were able to get things going smoothly and quickly. As for the drinks themselves, I got two (regular milk tea and mango green tea), and for a chain they weren’t bad!
This was some amazing boba! We got the Lychee Oolong tea with tapioca and it was life changing. My partner and I are always on the hunt for great local boba spots and this place is up there! Lots of the drink options were sold out but we still found something yummy. The tapioca is perfectly soft, so satisfying!
This is my first time trying gong cha in Seattle as I have tried it in Houston and New Orleans before as well as Vietnam. This place didn’t meet my expectations although my expectations were not high to begin with because it is a massive chain. The Boba was hard and small with no flavor. The Matcha tasted like powder. I’m glad that they have cute cups, but probably won’t come back for the taste.
waited extremely long for 2 drinks even tho we were the only customers. i paid extra for pudding but didn't get pudding in my drink. we also got a brown sugar milk tea but it was terrible.. there was no brown sugar and it wasn't sweet at all despite it being at 100% sweetness. overall a pretty awful experience.
Great bubble tea and menu selection! I also appreciate the free sample of various toppings to make sure they are tasty. The staff is mixed and some people are more helpful than others. It's great to see another business open late in the neighborhood but unfortunately no decaf drinks, so unless you have caffeine tolerance, you will be up all night. But there is mushroom soup added recently which is a cool alternative! I also wish there was seating, it's a pretty small interior with order kiosks and the front counter.
