Gourmet Asian 888 is a Chinese restaurant at 7320 S Rainbow Blvd Unit 107 in Las Vegas, Nevada 89139. For people searching for Chinese barbecue and familiar Cantonese-style dishes in southwest Las Vegas, customer reviews offer a practical picture of what to expect: roast pork, roasted duck, wonton noodle soup, steamed fish, and other dishes have all been mentioned. The restaurant has a 4.4-star rating from 47 reviews, though individual visits vary. That mix makes it helpful to consider both the dishes guests have enjoyed and the less favorable experiences shared by others when deciding what to order.

Roast pork and roasted duck are among the most frequently discussed choices. One diner praised roast pork with crispy skin, describing it as delicious and reasonably priced, and also enjoyed wonton noodle soup with roast duck. Another guest liked the roasted duck and mentioned plans to return to try Singaporean chili sauce shrimp. Reviews of the barbecue plate are more mixed: some diners found the crispy pork tasty, while others reported dry or bland pork, skin that was not as crunchy as hoped, or duck portions with more fat and bones than meat. These details suggest that preparation and portion experience may differ from one visit to another.

The reviews also mention steamed flounder, which one customer described as impressively large and delicious alongside the roast pork and noodle soup. Salt-and-pepper soft-shell crab received a less enthusiastic response from another diner, who felt its flavor did not match expectations. These firsthand accounts can help visitors choose based on their own preferences: roast pork and duck are central options to explore, while feedback on particular preparations is not uniformly positive. If you are curious about seafood or a specific barbecue dish, checking the current menu or asking the restaurant about the day's preparation can help set expectations; the available business information does not list hours or confirm current offerings.

Located on S Rainbow Boulevard, Gourmet Asian 888 may suit Las Vegas residents looking for a neighborhood Chinese restaurant, as well as visitors willing to travel beyond the Strip for a meal. One reviewer noted that the drive from the Strip took about 20 minutes, so it may be more convenient for people already in the area. Takeout is mentioned in a review, making it an option to ask about when planning a meal at home. Overall, customer feedback points to appealing possibilities, especially roast pork, roasted duck, wonton noodles, and steamed fish, alongside occasional disappointment in texture, flavor, or portion makeup. A visit is best approached with flexible expectations and an interest in Chinese barbecue and seafood dishes.

Yummy food for such a reasonable price! We ordered the roast pork with the crispy skin, the wonton noodle with the roast duck, and steamed flounder. Holy cow, the flounder was huge and everything else was so delicious, esp the roast pork! Service was good.

I had the salt and pepper soft she’ll crab for an appetizers and it was okay but nothing great about it. It tasted more fishy and nothing like soft shell crab at all. I also got the 2 item bbq plate with crispy pork and roasted duck. The crispy pork I would give it a 7 out of 10. It tasted good, but it was not temperature hot as I would expect it coming from a pan or fryer but more room temperature. The duck was all fat and barely any meat so I was very disappointed and dissatisfied because I was eating nothing but skin and fat. They could’ve at least added some good pieces of duck in there along with the skin, but it was not that great of pieces with hardly any meat. I gave that a flat zero out of 10. Customer service was really on top of it with my drinks and brought me out Chinese hot mustard to dip my crispy pork. Overall this place needs some quality control with the food. With so many options I think I will go somewhere else for good Chinese barbecue. Winkee Chinese BBQ down the street is so much better and tastes better. Hopefully this place will get it together on their quality.

The place was a good 20 minutes drive from the strip out in the middle of suburbia. The food wasn't great. The roast pork was bland and dry. The skin was undercooked so it wasn't crunchy. Maybe it was just a bad batch. The small serving of duck was all fat and bones. Definitely not something I want to order again.Portions were normal, prices were higher than Spring Mountain. Next time I'll stick to the many locations on Spring Mountain.

I was excited to see a new Chinese BBQ spot open near my home, so I decided to give it a try and ordered takeout. Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. …

Roasted Duck was good! Will have to try the Singaporean Chili Sauce Shrimps next time.
