Home Of Spices (Tampa) is an Indian grocery store at 2005 E Fowler Ave in Tampa, FL 33612, serving shoppers looking for Indian pantry staples, snacks, produce, and specialty items. Customer feedback highlights a broad selection across several brands, with spices, lentils, rice, pickles, frozen foods, and regional groceries among the kinds of products visitors may find. Its location on Fowler Avenue makes it a practical stop for people in Tampa who want to browse Indian groceries in one place rather than rely only on general supermarkets.

Inside, shoppers describe spacious, organized aisles that are easy to navigate, along with helpful and friendly staff. The range of Indian snacks and aachar, or pickles, is a recurring attraction in customer comments, as are specialty products that can be difficult to find elsewhere. Fresh produce is also part of the store’s offering, though feedback on its freshness is mixed. For customers planning a specific recipe or looking for a particular brand, checking product condition and availability in person is sensible.

Some reviews also mention Indian fast-food options, including vada pav, samosas, and tea, making the store a possible quick stop for a snack alongside grocery shopping. These mentions reflect customer experiences, and availability may vary. The combination of packaged groceries, frozen selections, produce, and snack options can suit home cooks stocking up on familiar ingredients, people exploring Indian pantry items, and shoppers seeking regional specialties. The store is best understood as a grocery destination first, with a few food options noted by visitors.

Customer opinions are mixed on product quality, particularly for certain fresh and packaged goods. Some shoppers report satisfying selections and service, while others have raised concerns about produce freshness, rice quality, or repackaged frozen items and cookware. If packaging, ingredients, dates, or storage condition matter for a purchase, inspect the item before buying and ask staff for clarification when needed. The store’s listed rating is 4.1 from 1,052 reviews, offering a useful snapshot of varied experiences rather than a guarantee about any individual visit.

Home Of Spices is open daily, with listed hours of 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, and until 8:30 p.m. Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Hours can change, so confirming before a special trip is a good idea. Whether you are replenishing lentils and spices, looking for Indian snacks or aachar, or browsing regional grocery products in Tampa, this Fowler Avenue shop offers a substantial selection with service and product experiences that shoppers describe differently. Visit with a clear list, take time to check items, and decide whether the selection fits your needs.

Buyers Beware of frozen items. And kitchen cookware. This guy will remove original packaging and sell seperate contents. Recently bought Hadiram Momo. Didnot realize he had remove the packaging and placed the plastic container. On ingredients list it mentioned momo sauce . But this guy removed momo sauce from it. Complaining only as it was 27.99$ for that. If you are paying more, you should get all its contents Handi, woks etc other kitchen item comes with lids from original shipper but this guy sells lids seperately. Got caught when a sticker on Handi said “ Handi with lid”

We bought a 20 lb bag of rice from Home of Spices on Fowler Avenue in Tampa, Florida, and were extremely disappointed to find bugs inside the bag. This is one of the worst experiences with rice quality I have ever had in the USA. It raises serious concerns about the quality control and proper storage of their products. Based on our experience, I would not recommend buying rice from this location. Please check your products carefully before purchasing.

Great options for Indian Snacks and aachar and grocery. Veggies are not that fresh and good. Can improve on that. They have some indian fast food options like vadapav and samosa and tea. All taste good.

Great selection and friendly service! Home of Spice is our go-to Indian grocery store in Tampa. They have a wide variety of fresh produce, spices, lentils, snacks, frozen foods, and regional specialty items that are hard to find elsewhere. Everything is well-organized and easy to navigate. The owners are always friendly and helpful, and they’re happy to answer questions or help find specific items. Prices are reasonable, and the store is clean and well-stocked. Highly recommend for anyone looking to cook authentic Indian meals at home!
