Always a delight to visit Hood Famous in the International District! The bibingka blueberry corn muffin is such a delicious twist on the classic Filipino dessert—familiar, but with a fun little upgrade. The Lilikoi Matcha Sparkler was refreshingly different, with plenty of matcha flavor and a bright splash of lilikoi. I was also lucky enough to try the ube pandan soft serve, which was creamy, refreshing, and dangerously easy to finish. No regrets. Don’t skip the sari-sari store tucked in the corner either—it’s stocked with all kinds of Filipino snacks and treats worth browsing. Great food, great drinks, and an easy walk from the light rail. Hood Famous is one of my favorite first stops whenever I’m in the International District.
They have some really good looking pastries and cheesecakes, and a great drink menu. A little pricey but I enjoyed everything I got, the ube latte was great. And everything came out quick even though they were busy. I probably wouldn’t get the vegetarian pan again - it was fun to try once but didn’t feel worth the price.
Such an awesome place serving regular café staples such as coffee/tea and pastries, but with Filipino fusion flavors. For a breakfast treat, I would highly recommend the sweet mango empanada (it is pricey but worth it) and especially the bibingka blueberry-corn muffin. Their ube and pandan lattes are unique and tasty. Some of the menus posted online for this bakeshop are out of date, so I would definitely refer to the one directly on the website for the most updated list of offerings. The café has a lot of Filipino culture, which you can see from the things they sell, the art/pictures on the walls, and the friendly attitude of the employees. My partner and I received excellent service while here, and I had a fun time looking through the gift shop. I will be recommending this place to people visiting the Chinatown area in Seattle, or even just Seattle in general. I wholeheartedly wish there were more places like this in other parts of the Northwest.
Although we like cooking at home we always visit and support Filipino restaurants when out of town. Hood Famous delivers on taste, flavor and presentation! The chicken arroz caldo is luscious and comforting, with the toppings of crispy …
Best vibes! Met so many cool people and their pets! Drinks were delicious, my favorite was the iced ube latte. I haven’t tried their cakes yet but I heard good things about it. The cafe is in Chinatown though so it is hard to find parking and has to paid for parking. Will come back for sure!
