International Natural Bakery is a neighborhood bakery at 128 Arlington St in Watertown, Massachusetts (02472). Its focus, according to customer feedback, is bread rather than a large pastry selection, making it a practical stop for shoppers looking for loaves and rolls. Customers mention seeded bread and rye as repeat purchases, while challah and mini brioche rolls also appear in reviews. Experiences with individual items differ, so the bakery may be a good place to explore a loaf that suits your own preferences rather than assume every product will be a favorite.
Bread is the central draw, but customer comments also describe sweet options for sharing or bringing to a gathering. One visitor enjoyed macaroon-style pastries enough to take some along for a get-together. Another praised a cake layered with cream and sweetened with honey, describing it as moist and less heavy than expected. These are individual customer impressions, not a complete menu, and availability may vary. If you are choosing something for a celebration, it can be helpful to ask what cakes or sweets are available that day.
The service comes across as personal in several reviews. Customers describe a warm greeting, a friendly owner, and staff willing to answer questions and recommend an item. One customer specifically asked about ingredients because of a nut allergy and received assistance. If you have an allergy or dietary restriction, contact the bakery and confirm ingredients and preparation practices directly; a review cannot guarantee that a product is suitable or free from cross-contact. Feedback on taste and texture is mixed: some shoppers return for bread, while others have been disappointed with particular loaves or rolls. Reading the variety of experiences can help set realistic expectations.
International Natural Bakery is at 128 Arlington St, Watertown, MA 02472, and listed hours are Monday and Tuesday, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.; Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, closed; Thursday, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.; and Friday, 9 a.m.–3 p.m. Hours can change, so checking before visiting is sensible. One reviewer reported a $10 minimum for credit-card purchases, which may not reflect the current policy; ask the bakery if payment method or minimum matters to your visit. A separate reviewer raised a concern about an ingredient and the bakery’s “Natural” name. Since reviews are not a substitute for current ingredient information, customers with questions about ingredients can ask the bakery directly. For Watertown residents and nearby visitors, it is a small, bread-focused shop with some reported cakes and sweets, welcoming service noted by several customers, and varied opinions worth considering when deciding what to try.

Their bread is NOT all natural, the name is 100% a lie. Their bread contains potassium bromate which is a potential carcinogen and banned in Europe. Not a natural ingredient. Go buy other bread, most other breads in the US don’t have this ingredient.
Small bakery that focuses on bread rather than pastries. I bought a bag of mini brioche rolls. They had a good flavor but were also fairly dry. I probably wouldn't buy them again. Credit card minimum of $10.
Bread is really good, we bought their seeded and rye a couple of times now. The owner is super friendly, she gave us to try their macaroon-style pastries and cake, and even though I wasn’t planning to buy sweets, we couldn’t resist buying macaroons for our gathering later that day. Absolutely delicious! (good prices too)
I was warmly greeted & waited on this morning by a friendly employee. He answered my questions regarding ingredients to avoid nut allergies and made a wonderful recommendation of a cake layered with creme & sweetened with honey. It was moist, not heavy or as rich as you might imagine. A perfect balance and delicious treat. Ample parking directly across the street as well as curb side. A complete delight.
I’m Jewish, have eaten challah all my life. By far the most vile loaf of challah I’ve ever bought. I spit it out and threw away the whole $7 loaf.
