izumicakes is a welcoming Bakery in Fremont, CA for people who want cakes that feel light, carefully made, and easy to enjoy. Located at 46132 Warm Springs Blvd Unit 133 in the Warm Springs area, the shop has earned a 4.7 rating from 80 reviews, with many customers returning for soft textures, clean sweetness, and elegant presentation. Instead of heavy frosting or overly sugary layers, izumicakes is often praised for Japanese-style cakes that taste balanced, moist, and not too sweet.

The flavors customers mention most include matcha, berry berry, and black sesame. Reviewers describe the matcha as true to its flavor, with green cream that gives a strong tea note, while still pairing smoothly with the cake. The berry berry cake is appreciated for rich fruit flavor, and black sesame is described as deep and satisfying without becoming too dense. Several guests also like the use of real fruit compote and low-sugar profiles, making these cakes especially appealing for adults, kids, and anyone who wants dessert without a heavy finish.

What makes izumicakes stand out locally is the texture. Customers repeatedly describe the cake as soft, fluffy, and moist, the kind of slice that can disappear quickly because it feels so light. Decoration is another point people notice, including neat writing and a polished look that works well when you want a cake for a small celebration, family gathering, office treat, or after-dinner dessert. Service also receives strong praise from guests who value a smooth, friendly cake-buying experience.

The shop is practical for South Fremont dessert runs, especially for customers near Warm Springs, Milpitas, Newark, and nearby Silicon Valley neighborhoods. Hours are generally 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with Wednesday closed, so it is best to plan ahead if you are picking up a cake for a specific day. Because customers have noted that flavor variety can be limited at times, calling or checking availability before visiting may help if you have a particular flavor in mind.

Like many small specialty bakeries, izumicakes seems to focus more on the cake itself than on a highly polished storefront. A few visitors have mentioned that the interior could feel more comfortable or updated, but the consistent theme across reviews is clear: people come back for the soft cake, balanced sweetness, and memorable flavors. For anyone searching for a Bakery in Fremont, CA with Japanese-style cakes, matcha-forward desserts, fruit compote, and gentle sweetness, izumicakes is a reliable local option to consider.

The flavor is delicious!! The cake truly tastes like matcha, and the combination with the cream is amazing. It’s not overly sweet or heavy, which makes it even better. I highly recommend it. The only thing it could improve is offering more variety in flavors; there were only matcha and one other option. But honestly, the one I wanted to try was matcha, and it did not disappoint. Highly recommended!

One of the best cakes I’ve tried. The flavor (berry berry & black sesame) is rich, cake is soft & moist with the perfect amount of sweetness!

The cakes here are very soft and not too sweet. You can definitely eat it all in one go if you're not careful enough. The decoration is always so good as is the handwriting. The sweetness will vary though but overall it's a very measured level. And of their service, I would say there's no better. They're very patient with your needs and your schedule. I would definitely recommend coming here for those who don't like overly sweet things.

A weird smell came out when I stepped into the shop. The menu looked years old and almost worn out. I’d recommend some renovation work to make the interior more comfortable. On the other hand, the cake is very soft and fluffy where I like the most. The green cream tastes strong matcha flavor, a little bitter, matches well with the sweetness of the cake. But the white cream is barely flavored and tastes too light. And the shop didn’t seem to be prepared for utensils and the staff had a find me some all over the place.
