My massage therapist forced a higher tip on my bill. I tipped 17% on a $70 massage because I felt like I didn’t receive a good massage. The lady I had kept giving a very soft massage that I had to keep asking for more pressure the whole time. This would have been ok for a general 20% imo but she left about 4 times to answer the phone that you could hear through the walls. I felt like 17% was reasonable for this service- maybe even over what I should have. When it came to payment, my massage therapist watched what I placed as a tip and said “your friend tipped $20”… which I replied OK. This is what I’m leaving. Then I walk away and she says excuse me! I thought this said $17. (It said $12). Then started asking me how do I fix this I don’t know how to fix this. Pretty obvious she did it on purpose to get a higher tip. I ask for a receipt of the $17 tip and she says I can take a picture of the signed copy. Bet. I’m about to leave and she looks at me and ASKS ME TO CHANGE THE TIP LINE TO MATCH THE $17 tip???? I was so caught off guard and felt entirely pressured and so I changed the tip line but the total stayed the same. I should have taken the tip off completely looking back but I was so in shock that someone could do that! Please please please do not support that therapist. Horrible way to run a business- it’s literally stealing.
Peaceful atmosphere, professional yet friendly, Jade Magnolia was perfect on all counts. Stopped in for a couples massage and loved the entire experience. Make your way to oak street and treat yourself.
Humble, very clean space. This message is out of love for anyone who suffers with pain. Talking about therapy here. I have been getting massages for 20 years & hands down Sheila @ Jade Magnolia is one of the BEST masseuse I have ever had the pleasure of working on me IN MY LIFE!!! Doesnt matter if its for relaxation or chronic pain like I live with. BOOK YOU A MASSAGE you will THANK not only HER but ME for the recommendation!!!
Everything went very well until she asked rudely to give her more tip. I am a college student, could barely afford the 83$ massage but I had to get it because I am an athlete and this was the first massage I could get in months, chose this place, and the lady treated me so awful when she saw that I left 15% of tip because that is what I can afford, like????? What is this tipping thing here, was so scared I just ran out of the place.
Amazing 90 minute massage!! Kiki was my therapist and she was great! Perfect pressure, very sweet and professional. Did some great stretches as well. Thanks Kiki!
