Jazmine Café is a Vietnamese restaurant at 614 S Carrollton Ave in New Orleans, Louisiana, serving a menu that brings Vietnamese dishes together with sushi and other interesting options. Customer reviews highlight its range: visitors can find flavorful noodle soups, spring rolls, grilled shrimp, and more alongside sushi. With a 4.3-star rating from 202 reviews, Jazmine Café has drawn feedback from diners with different tastes and expectations. It may suit people looking for a Vietnamese meal in New Orleans as well as groups who appreciate having more than one kind of dish to choose from.

A standout mentioned by several reviewers is the Spicy Lemongrass Noodle Soup, identified in one review as Bun Bo Hue. Diners describe its deep red color and distinctive lemongrass flavor, with one noting that it was a memorable choice. Other praised dishes include the Seaweed Mango Spring Roll and grilled shrimp, Com Tom Nuong; reviewers describe these as fresh, well prepared, and tasty. The menu also includes mushroom glass noodles with vegetarian broth, an option a reviewer chose when dining with someone ordering the spicy soup. Together, these examples suggest a menu with choices for diners seeking bold, savory flavors and those who prefer a meat-free broth.

The atmosphere and service receive positive mentions, too. One guest visiting on a quiet Saturday afternoon appreciated attentive service and well-timed courses, while another described a smooth experience with helpful staff. A reviewer characterized Jazmine Café as a small, family-owned business with high standards; that is one customer's impression, rather than a detail independently confirmed here. These accounts make the restaurant sound like a comfortable option for a relaxed lunch or dinner, a meal with a date, or a visit with friends who want to explore different dishes. As with any restaurant, the experience can vary by visit and by what you order.

Reviews are not uniformly positive: some diners have raised concerns about portion sizes and the amount or appearance of ingredients in particular dishes, while still noting that the food tasted good. That range of feedback is useful when deciding what to expect, and individual preferences may differ. For anyone searching for a Vietnamese restaurant in New Orleans, Jazmine Café offers a mix of Vietnamese favorites, sushi, and options such as vegetarian-broth noodles at its Carrollton Avenue address. The hours are not listed in the information available here, so confirm current opening times before making a special trip. Whether you are drawn by Bun Bo Hue, spring rolls, or the variety of the menu, customer experiences point to a place worth considering for a neighborhood meal.

Good selection of sushi and Vietnamese dishes. I very much enjoyed the spicy lemongrass beef noodle soup with a distinctive deep red color. My date got the mushroom glass noodle with vegetarian broth which could have used a tiny bit more spice but that’s probably what you’re expecting when you get vegetarian glass mushroom soup. Overall worth it and worthy of repeat business.

I came here at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon. Needless to say not many people here in between meals. The server was extraordinarily attentive. Probably easier when it’s just me and one other person in the place, but still. And his timing? Flawless. Right when I finished the fascinating rice-noodle salad, the main dish arrived. Right when I finished the main dish, the check was placed on the table. Even though it was just me, he cared about creating a seamless experience. As for the food, I’m sure the vermicelli noodle salad is a staple among the Vietnamese, but I found it too sweet and saucy for my liking. However…the chicken curry…fantastic. Great presentation, tasted all-around perfect and well-balanced. Enough to fill me up, and I can eat a lot. Atmosphere: it’s got a bit of a hip vibe to it. I dig it. All around great experience. (Note - I’d already taken one big chunk of chicken out of the bowl before I took the picture I posted of it. You’ll only fill up on it if you eat it with the included bowl of rice.)

Great experience! I had high expectations and they were properly met in a timely manor with quality service from several well trained individuals. Small family owned business with high standards. Nothing negative to add.

Curry I ordered didn’t have hardly any chicken in it whatsoever. Poke bowl was puny, with small portions of everything. Not only that the fish doesn’t look that great. Poke Loa gives you twice as much food and it is always gorgeous and of good quality. Two spring rolls were 8 bucks. Food tastes good but I basically got a bunch of vegetables, curry juice, and rice for 50 bucks. Very chincy. Probably won’t return.
