Jordan Market is a neighborhood supermarket on Westwood Blvd in Los Angeles, CA, serving shoppers who want a convenient place to browse everyday groceries alongside Middle Eastern and Persian specialty foods. Located at 1449 Westwood Blvd, this local market is known for a clean, organized layout that makes it easier to find pantry basics, spices, breads, produce, and specialty ingredients in one stop. For people living, working, or studying on the Westside, Jordan Market is a practical option when you need familiar staples as well as harder-to-find regional items without making a long trip across the city.
Many customers visit Jordan Market for its selection of Persian-style foods and Middle Eastern groceries, including spice staples, specialty ingredients, fresh produce, breads, and meat. Reviews specifically mention items such as lavash bread, sour plums, green almonds, and a special-order leg of lamb, which helps paint a picture of the store’s appeal for households cooking traditional meals at home. If you are shopping in Los Angeles for seasonal ingredients or planning a family dinner, the market can be a useful stop for both routine shopping and specific cultural foods that may not be as easy to find in a standard chain grocery store.
The atmosphere is often described as clean and well organized, which matters in a busy local supermarket where shoppers want to get in, find what they need, and check out efficiently. Jordan Market may be a good fit for nearby residents, UCLA-area students, and anyone looking for a market that carries a wide variety of regional groceries in Westwood. Shoppers who enjoy cooking from scratch may especially appreciate the range of ingredients for Persian and Middle Eastern dishes, while people shopping for fresh meat, produce, and bread may find solid options for everyday meals.
At the same time, customer feedback suggests it is smart to shop with a careful eye. Some reviews praise the quality of the meat, produce, and bread, and one customer had a positive experience placing a custom order for lamb that was prepared by the next day. Other reviews mention concerns about higher prices, missing price tags, checkout discrepancies, and occasional quality-control issues with bread. For that reason, it may be worth double-checking shelf labels, expiration dates, and receipts, especially when buying seasonal produce or specialty items.
With hours from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM most days, and until 8:00 PM on Sunday, Jordan Market offers steady convenience for local grocery runs in Los Angeles, CA. For shoppers searching for a Westwood market with Middle Eastern and Persian grocery options, it stands out for product variety, a tidy store environment, and access to specialty foods that support home cooking. If you value selection and cultural ingredients, and do not mind taking a moment to verify pricing and freshness, Jordan Market can be a useful local stop.

Sign in to reviewWe have been shopping at this supermarket for a long time, but enough is enough. This is not the first time we’ve bought lavash bread here only to discover it was moldy. It seems the bread is left on the shelves for far too long without proper quality control, yet they still charge customers full price. Please be very careful when buying lavash bread from this store. Check it before leaving, because there is a very high chance it may already have mold on it.
I went in for sour plums and green almonds since they’re in season, and the plums were clearly marked at $9.99 a pound. At checkout, I was charged $14.99 a pound for the plums and my total came out to $35 for the plums alone. I went back to ask about it and pointed out the sign, but the cashier acted surprised that the price was different and looked shocked when she saw the sign labeled $9.99/lb. Fortunately, she did return the difference once pointed out. I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt but after looking through other reviews on here, it seems like this was not an isolated incident and many others were overcharged, double charged, or had unmarked prices at check-out. It’s a shame because I like supporting small local markets, but I cannot support businesses that are not honest.
Jordan Market in Westwood is a well-organized store offering a variety of Middle Eastern groceries, from spices to specialty items. They had exactly what I was looking for. Reason for 4 stars is I realized after the fact that I was charged wrong, but did not go back.
I wanna be fair. The store is very clean and almost all Persian style food is available here. But the prices are higher than normal. The customer service here is not perfect. And, not all items have price tags, which is odd.
Absolutely fantastic market! Their meat, produce and bread are absolutely amazing. I special ordered a leg of lamb and they had it the very next day. They had it clean and wrapped for me, and for a really good price. Thank you Jordan market for high quality product for a good price and great customer service. I'm definitely coming back.
