k Cafe is a Vietnamese restaurant in Philadelphia, PA, at 4200 N Reese St, Philadelphia, PA 19140. It offers a straightforward, takeout-focused way to enjoy Vietnamese food and drinks in the neighborhood. Customer reviews describe a small order-at-the-window spot rather than a place for dining in: place your order, pick it up, and take it with you. That setup is worth knowing before you visit, especially if you are planning a meal with family or friends and expecting table service. For nearby residents, commuters, and anyone passing through, k Cafe provides a practical option when you want a prepared meal to go.
The menu, as described by customers, brings together pho, vermicelli, rice dishes, and Vietnamese sandwiches, with selections that reviewers found direct and easy to understand. The broth is one detail that stood out: a customer praised its flavor and noted that the ingredients tasted fresh. Another reviewer enjoyed a chicken banh mi, while summer rolls were described as very fresh. These comments suggest a menu suited to different appetites, whether you want a warm bowl of pho, a sandwich for a quick meal, or a lighter roll. The reviews do not establish every ingredient or preparation detail, so customers with specific dietary needs may want to confirm those details when ordering.
Drinks add another reason to stop, especially if you are picking up food on a warm day or want something alongside your meal. Customer favorites mentioned include fruit tea, coffee, slushies, and smoothies. Reviews call out a refreshing honeydew smoothie, as well as mango and pineapple flavors. One customer described a smoothie as fresh-tasting, thick, and not overly sweet; another praised the honeydew drink for its refreshing quality. These are individual impressions rather than a guarantee of every drink or order, but they offer a helpful snapshot of the beverage options people have enjoyed. The mix of savory dishes and fruit-forward drinks makes k Cafe a convenient choice for a full takeout meal or a quick drink pickup.
k Cafe is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and is closed Saturday and Sunday. Since customer feedback describes it as takeout only, plan to order at the window and take your food elsewhere rather than expecting indoor seating. Reviews also mention a busy intersection and recommend keeping pickup in mind when driving; one customer shared that the food still came out well after a delayed arrival. If you are in Philadelphia and looking for Vietnamese food to go, k Cafe offers pho, vermicelli, rice, banh mi, summer rolls, and smoothies in a simple, pickup-oriented setting. Check the current menu and availability when you order, and allow a little time for your stop.

went here because it is pretty much the only Vietnamese "restaurant" in the area. I quoted it because this is a TAKE OUT ONLY spot. order @ the windows and go home! anywho... straight forward selections. phở, vermicelli, and rice. drinks include slushy, coffee, and fruit teas. I wanted something quick so I had a grilled chicken banh mi & coffee. I usually get pork but they only had shredded pork on the menu but had grilled pork w their vermicelli? 🤔 first impression: the lady was very nice. the place is on the corner so street parking only and scarce. the banh mi was heavy! filling out to the side. I'm usually wary of chicken but this dark meat chicken did not disappoint! fresh veggies, perfectly pickled carrots & daikons, along w a hearty serving - this banh mi filled me up unexpectedly! delicious. the coffee, I was hesitant on it due to it's lighter color but I was proven wrong. packed a rich, deep flavor. just the right amount of bitter & sweet. the best part is the prices are very reasonable! also - as I was waiting for the food, the picture of the grilled pork vermicelli was very eye appealing so I had that to go. even though it was eaten hours later, still very good. the pork had a delicious marinade to paired w their soft noodles. veggies & pickled were icing on the cake. truly enjoyed myself and would definitely recommend this. great for the neighborhood and community! note: spoke to a different lady @ the window today and was informed 2 things: -shredded pork is actually grilled pork. not to be confused w bì, which is the stringy pork skin & meat you get w vermicelli bowls -and they are opened Sunday-Friday. I mentioned their website & IG showed closed Sat & Sun
Summer rolls were very fresh... honeydew smoothie was also very refreshing.
I liked the broth a lot and everything was fresh. That chicken banh mi was good too.
Ordered the food for to go and it came out pretty good even though i was late 20 minutes sitting ducks on the i-76 . Fyi it's not a dine in spot it's an order food and go spot which is understandable with the space they got going on. Busy intersection to grab some food so any one driving you might have to double park.
Doesn’t taste artificial to me. Very fresh & not too sweet! Very thick & lasts a bit longer. I got a small mango & pineapple smoothie.
