For people searching for karaoke in San Francisco with a convenient neighborhood feel, K-Time Karaoke is one of the names that regularly comes up.

What people seem to come here for most is the simple fun of gathering with a group, picking songs, and enjoying that energetic karaoke-room atmosphere. Reviews suggest that the experience can be especially appealing when visiting with a bigger party, since the shared-room format feels more social and can make the outing feel more worthwhile. Because of that, K-Time Karaoke may be best suited for guests who care most about having a private space to sing with friends and who are comfortable confirming details before settling in. If you are planning a visit, it may help to ask about room availability, pricing, equipment condition, and any added charges upfront so the night goes more smoothly. TLDR: if you want high quality karaoke machine, good service, reasonable staff - DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE. Instead go to any other karaoke places such as Kbox, Filmore and Level2 The karaoke machine in one of their room is broken. You simply do not have a functioning karaoke machine where you can queue songs. Instead, they provide you with this random YouTube version, which is basically equivalent to you doing karaoke at home, except you are paying $50 for nothing. When we ask for them to fix the service, they simply don't even try. We could not even get them to reboot the machine. And instead of offering us any kind of compensation, with us coming all the way from the other side of town, they just told us we can refund you, even though we wasted all our time getting the machine to work. We tried to find alternative solutions. For example, moving to a different room, but the staff was not helpful. First, they never told us that a large room was available and we had to find the room ourselves. Then we talked to a staff member who told us it was available at 11 pm, which meant we could have sung for an hour and a half. Later, we got another staff member who then told us that the room is not available and will, in fact, be taken by 10 pm. Overall, it just didn't seem like staff even knew what they were talking about. If you have other karaoke options, do them. K-Box, Level 2, Fillmore, all of them will probably be better than K-Time.

AVOID!!! TLDR: We reserved a room and the karaoke system was broken. Staff offered no solution or compensation, and refused to change to another room even though there was one open. We’ve been regular customers at this karaoke place for years but our experience was completely ruined today. It has really gone downhill. We reserved a room in advance for 3 hours, showed up on time, and found out the karaoke system in our room didn’t work. Staff spent a long time trying to blame it on “copyright issues” before finally admitting the system was actually broken. Their “solution” was to tell us to use YouTube on Google instead. Anyone who actually goes to karaoke knows how ridiculous that is. It’s basically like queueing YouTube videos on a TV at home and you can’t even browse or queue new songs while someone was singing without changing the screen. There was zero apology, zero accountability, and zero compensation offered. It was basically “take it or leave it” for the Google YouTube Karaoke at full price. We asked if there were any other rooms available and were told the place was fully booked. Later, we found out there ACTUALLY WAS another room open for hours. When asked if we can use the working room, they wanted to charge us the full inflated price for that room ($80–90 instead of the ~$50 room we originally booked). That might be fine, but they didn’t even tell us there was another room open until we found out. This is just wrong. We held up our end of the reservation. They didn’t hold up theirs, and made no effort to make it right. We used to come here regularly but we definitely won’t be back.

Confused by all the good reviews on here. This place is extremely dirty! Considering the 20% cleaning charge, they could at least sweep the floors. There were balls of hair all over the floor. Everything felt sticky and musty. There is no AC so it gets really hot and stuffy. The bathrooms were disgusting. Do not recommend! Way overpriced for what you are getting!

Leaving review for the free drink but honestly would still give it 5 stars with or without it. Came in with friends had a great time highly recommend. Bringing a bigger group makes it more affordable and the front desk staff Josh or John? was super amazing also pretty cute ☺️ Overall a fun experience, would definitely come back!!!

We asked about the price beforehand and were told a much lower price than the room actually cost, at the end a bunch of fees were added onto the price. The buttons were popped off on one of the two microphones we had, making it really difficult to turn on, and the system couldn't play a song without buffering - I'm talking couldn't even get 10 seconds in. We had to connect the TV to our phone hotspot in order to get it to even work. Once our hour was up, I explained to the front desk our issues and asked if we could get a discount and they refused. We were only able to sing like 5 songs due to the difficulties. I paid and it was $60. SIXTY DOLLARS for one hour on a system that didn't work 👎
