Sign in to reviewI bought these Bun case for $24.00 with Venmo and I could use hot/ ice tea for my enjoyment. You have to be tough to love this unknown jelly with mix nuts and no one in my family don't seem to enjoy the bun, so the buns will definitely be available for my mornings.
Road trip checking out bakeries in China town. This place was my top favourite!! Very authentic Chinese bakery with quality ingredients. Very large portions with reasonable prices. “Wife Cake” was very unique not like typical bakery recipes - wintermelon, variety of seeds for complexed taste and texture. Peanut candies are very crunchy, fresh, not too sweet. Easy to find street parking.
Ahead of the Mid-Autmn Festival (Moon Festival, Mooncake Festival, Autumn Solstice, Chuseok, Tsukimi, Tet Trung Thu, and I'm sure it goes by other names in other cultures), this place makes the best Mooncake I have ever had. If in SoCal, make the effort, try this place, it is truly one of a kind. The two I chose for this year is the “00” which I am told has two eggs and is delicious. And the other “12” is one of my all time favorites with Mung bean and Durian paste. My mom and I also really like the Banh In Dau Xanh a kind of white pastry with white mung bean filling. We were fortunate enough that this bakery has a vendor right outside our favorite noodle house in Santa Ana (Trieu Chau). Have a safe and happy moon festival everyone!
Ive tried a lot of moon cakes in Chinatown and Alhambra, Kim Hung is my favorite by far! Fresh, never dry, worth every penny. Try the white mochi moon cake for something special.
Delicious lemon cake! We got a good sized piece for only $3. The cake was moist and had just the right amount of sweetness and lemon flavor. We thought we’d have a few bites and save some for later but we couldn’t stop eating it - wish we got the strawberry to try too! Definitely stop by if you’re in Chinatown and looking for a sweet snack!
