La Saison Bakery is a neighborhood bakery at 407 Concord Ave in Cambridge, MA, bringing together familiar French-style pastries and flavors with a Persian-inspired touch. Customers describe a welcoming little shop where the selection goes beyond pastries: homemade breads, coffee and other drinks, plus sandwiches and pizzas made with house dough are also part of the appeal. With a 4.6-star rating across 487 reviews, La Saison has become a destination for locals looking for a relaxed bakery stop and something a little different from the usual pastry case.
The pastry menu has plenty to explore, whether you prefer savory or sweet. Reviewers mention a pistachio saffron croissant, a pistachio and saffron swirl, and a pesto Gruyère scone, along with sourdough breads and brioche frite. The pesto scone is a particular favorite for some visitors, while the brioche frite is noted as a Sunday-only offering. These customer favorites reflect the bakery’s mix of classic pastry styles and distinctive flavors. Preferences vary, of course: one reviewer found the pistachio-saffron pastry quite good but heavier and less exceptional than expected, a useful reminder that rich pastries may not suit everyone.
Coffee and other drinks make it easy to turn a pastry run into a longer break. Visitors have enjoyed lattes, and the menu also includes a tahini latte known as a Havla latte. That flavor may be more appealing to some than others, so it is worth choosing according to your own tastes. The small patio gives guests a place to sit outside with a drink and pastry when they want to slow down. The overall atmosphere comes across as cute and casual: a comfortable choice for a solo coffee stop, a weekend treat, or catching up with a friend.
For people in Cambridge and nearby neighborhoods, La Saison Bakery offers a convenient stop for baked goods, coffee, and a more substantial bite. Its homemade breads and dough-based options can suit shoppers looking beyond sweets, while the pastries make an easy addition to a morning outing or afternoon break. Reviews also mention occasional pop-ups, including a Father’s Day smash burger event; these are examples of special offerings, not a guarantee of a regular menu item. Parking has been described as tight, although one customer said the flow was fast. For the latest selection and availability, check directly with the bakery before visiting.

We had pistachio saffron croissant and pesto gruyere scone along with latte. Love them all. Parking is tight but the flow is fast. Definitely recommend this place
Cute bakery, they have a little patio where you can enjoy your pastry and drink. I tried the pistacchio and saffron swirl, I expected more from it: it was quite good but not outstanding, it doesn't worth the 8$. It was really heavy, the pistacchio was mixed for sure with almonds because you couldn't really taste it and the cream on top is not custard but some kind of cream cheese frosting with saffron, the pastry was not warm, that's okay but it lost the flakiness. It didn't taste as good as it looks. Overall a cute bakery, I would like to try something else but it's a little bit too expensive in my opinion
Loved this little shop. They serve great coffee and drinks, homemade breads, pastries, even some delicious looking sandwiches and pizzas on homemade dough. The spot is known for their Persian spin on great classics, and many of the typical French offerings. I got to try their pistachio croissant and a black sesame latte. Both were very good. The croissant was excellent; dough was perfect, not overly sweet. Tons of pistachio on the inside. It’s topped with a hefty amount of what tastes a bit like cream cheese (but it’s probably something else, that’s just what it reminds me of; I found out later it’s saffron mascarpone). Highly recommend trying it. The black sesame latte came recommended by the staff member. Also very good, nice unique flavor and made with in house syrup! I will say though, it was a little bit gritty as you got to the end of the latte. Theres also an area to sit outside and inside. All in all, an amazing spot that I’d love to visit again!
What an awesome surprise for father's day - burgers for breakfeast! Went to the smash burger pop-up today. The burgers were great (grilled perfectly, juicy and topped with good sauces and cheese) and the pastries and sour dough breads are always delicious! Hoping for more halal meat options in the future! Also love the outdoor seating!
What a wonderful spring weekend to try out La Saison! Everything was delicious, and my personal favorite was the pesto scone. The brioche frite is also a must-have (available Sundays only). The Havla latte (tahini) wasn’t my favorite, but that’s just personal preference. I’ll definitely be back!
