Le's Baguette Banh Mi Cafe is a Vietnamese restaurant on Dryades Street in New Orleans, Louisiana, serving familiar Vietnamese favorites in a small cafe setting. Located at 4607 Dryades St #5529, New Orleans, LA 70115, it can be a convenient choice for a casual meal, a quick cafe stop, or a chance to enjoy banh mi and pho while exploring the city. Customer feedback highlights a cute, welcoming spot and excellent service, while also offering varied opinions about flavor, portions, and value—useful context when deciding what suits your appetite and expectations.

Banh mi is a natural place to start. Diners have mentioned the lemongrass pork banh mi, as well as a banh mi one reviewer described as perfect. The menu also includes pho, with beef and brisket pho among the dishes customers have tried, plus shrimp spring rolls. These options make the cafe worth considering if you are choosing between a toasted sandwich, a bowl of soup, and a lighter roll. Reviews are not unanimous: some guests enjoy the food, while others find the pho broth milder than they prefer or wish for larger portions. If you like a more restrained broth, that may appeal; if you prefer deeply seasoned pho or generous portions, keep those comments in mind.

The cafe also serves Vietnamese iced coffee, which one customer found enjoyable as a simple drink stop. Reviewers describe the space as cute and say the service can be excellent, suggesting an easygoing setting for an informal lunch or dinner. It may suit solo diners, couples, or anyone looking for approachable Vietnamese dishes without a formal dining occasion. As with any restaurant, individual impressions differ, and several reviews compare the experience with other Vietnamese restaurants, particularly around price and value. Checking the menu and considering what matters most to you—sandwiches, pho, service, or portion size—can help set expectations.

Le's Baguette Banh Mi Cafe is open from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday through Sunday, and is closed Tuesday. Its Dryades Street address places it in New Orleans for diners seeking a local Vietnamese restaurant for lunch or an early evening meal. Whether you are stopping in for lemongrass pork banh mi, shrimp spring rolls, beef or brisket pho, or Vietnamese iced coffee, the cafe offers several familiar ways to explore its menu. I tried Le’s Baguette Banh Mi Cafe and overall it was okay, but a bit underwhelming for the price. The food itself wasn’t bad, but it didn’t quite match the value. Living in Houston, there are so many great pho and bánh mì spots, so my expectations might be a little higher because of that. For what you’re paying, I was hoping for a little more in terms of flavor or portion size. It just didn’t stand out compared to other places in the area that offer similar dishes at a better price point. That said, it could still be a convenient option depending on what you’re looking for, but for me personally, it’s probably not somewhere I’d go out of my way to return to.

Tasty Vietnamese food and a really cute spot with excellent service. The banh mi was perfect. The pho broth is plainer than I’m used to, but probably better for you, so do what you will with that.

I got the beef/brisket pho, shrimp spring rolls, and lemongrass pork bahn mi. I think the pho could use a lot of improvement in terms of portion size and broth flavor. I can simply get better portion value at other places than here. The broth flavor is extremely bland, and the amount of beef/brisket pieces were minimal. The pork bahn mi was solid. Lots of flavor from the meat, pickled veggies, and aioli sauce - sriracha sauce paired very well with it. No complains with the shrimp spring rolls either - the peanut sauce was great.

Mediocre, this place is just fine. If you're super hungry and need something that's not terribly expensive, and nothing else was open I would go here again. They offer all the same foods that other places do just less creatively. We had a …
