Lien Hung is easily some of the best Vietnamese food in San Antonio. It’s a small, simple, hole-in-the-wall spot that doesn't rely on lavish decor; instead, the entire emphasis is on the incredible quality of the food. The Favorites: The grilled pork vermicelli bowls are a standout (the pork is perfectly charred and savory), and the Vietnamese spring rolls are a must. To drink, their Vietnamese Coffee is "strong and mighty"—the perfect pick-me-up if you need a serious caffeine boost. The Vibe: This is a true "no-frills" experience, but the parking lot tells the real story. It’s not uncommon to see a Bentley or a Rolls Royce parked outside; when people go that far out of their way to visit a modest shop in this area, you know you’ve come to the right place. Pro-Tips: > * Cash Only: They do not take cards, so hit the ATM on the way. The pricing is very reasonable, so you won’t need a huge roll of cash to feed a group. Family Friendly: Even my kids—who can be very picky—love this place. With a massive menu featuring both Vietnamese and Chinese dishes, there is something for everyone. Closing Statement: > If you’re willing to trade fancy table linens for authentic, top-tier flavor, Lien Hung is a San Antonio treasure. It’s proof that the best meals aren't always found in the flashiest buildings—sometimes they’re behind a simple storefront with a line of luxury cars out front.

Upon entering, I was seated immediately. The service is good; however, the food is very lacking. I had the spring roll, and it was not fresh at all. I also had the BbH, which was supposed to be a special; however, it doesn't taste like BbH at all. The meat was quite chewy, and the broth was very, very bland, lack seasoning. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I had such a fantastic meal at this spot on Remount Drive. Everything was incredibly fresh and full of flavor. The spring rolls were light, perfectly wrapped, and hit the spot. I also really enjoyed the hearty noodle soup and the stir-fry, which came with a generous portion of fried rice. The presentation on the classic patterned plates was a nice touch. I will definitely be back for another round.

There isn't much I can say about this place. The food was decent. But the dishes we got were just ok. It was nothing particularly special. Though I'll admit I'm not an expert on Vietnamese cuisine. However to me it really just felt lacking. The rice was completely flavorless. But the Meats were pretty good. The restaurant is a decent size. Prices are ok, perhaps a bit high for the portion sizes. The service here is ok, perfectly acceptable. One big downside is they DO NOT accept Card Payments. CASH ONLY. So be aware. All in all I'm not sure if it's a place I'd visit again. Especially since it's very far from where I live. But if you live nearby it may be worth a visit.

This place is a must!!!! Very welcoming and affordable prices. I believe it's a family owned restaurant. The young waitress is always vibing with us. She also very attentive, and super friendly. The food is magic!!!! Especially the pho 🍲 if you ever feeling under the weather you can doordash it as long as you're not too far. But the PHO IS MAGIC IN A BOWL!!!!!!! ITS A CURE TO ANYTHING!!!!!!👏🏽🙌🏽 11/10 I also tried something else off of the menu. It was the garlic chicken with fried rice and an egg roll with an egg drop soup. Now when I say other places it's dry NOT HERE!!! 10/10 The food is top tier. This place is a hidden gem. The Vietnamese spring rolls are amazing also!!! Oh and it's CASH ONLY no card!! THIS IS MY GO-TO. I have been spoiling myself and going at least once a week to once every other week 🫣🤌🏽 and I only dine in I haven't tried to take out.
