Lina's Nail & Spa is a nail salon at 1418 N Claiborne Ave #2 in New Orleans, Louisiana (70116), serving people looking for nail care in the city. The available customer feedback points to a varied experience: the salon has a 4.1 rating from 83 reviews, with some customers praising their finished nails and friendly staff, while others describe concerns about service, communication, or pricing. That mix is useful context when deciding whether the salon suits your needs. If you have a particular service or result in mind, explaining it clearly before work begins can help make sure you and your nail technician have the same expectations.
Customers mention services including gel polish, dip powder, acrylic, nail refills, and pedicures. One reviewer was delighted with festive, Halloween-inspired nail art based on reference photos and said gel polish remained chip-free for a month. Another customer described Lina's as a regular neighborhood nail spot after moving to New Orleans, highlighting the staff's sweetness and professionalism. These accounts suggest that customers may appreciate the salon for creative nail looks as well as routine appointments, though individual results differ. The reviews do not establish that every design or service is available on request, so it is sensible to ask about the specific look, product, or appointment you want before starting.
Feedback also includes serious concerns that prospective customers should consider. Some reviewers report confusion or disagreement about whether the product used was dip powder or acrylic, dissatisfaction with nail length or shape after a refill, cuts during a service, and uncertainty about the final price. These are individual accounts, not a guarantee of what will happen during another visit, but they make clear why it can help to confirm the service name, product, requested length and shape, and estimated total before the appointment begins. If something does not match what you requested, speaking up promptly may give the salon a chance to clarify and address the concern.
Lina's Nail & Spa is open Monday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to the listed hours. Its New Orleans location may be convenient for nearby residents and visitors seeking a manicure, pedicure, refill, or nail design. For a straightforward visit, bring inspiration photos if you have a particular style in mind and discuss your preferences before the service starts. Check the details and pricing directly with the salon, especially for a specific product or design. With both positive comments about creative results and warm staff, and critical feedback about communication and service outcomes, the reviews offer a balanced picture for choosing a nail salon in New Orleans.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I asked for dip powder but she brought out black acrylic powder. I said no I want dip, acrylic has ruined my nails and she confirmed it was dip, but it wasn't. My nails feel heavy like they do when I have acrylic on. She cut 3 different fingers with her nail file to the point of bleeding. As she was wrapping up, she smoothed the nail with the Dremel, then went back in after it was smoothed with the buffer attachment to buff my nails after they were already smooth. Then she started doing top coats - with my nails completely scuffed up and not smooth - and I said why are the nails buffed, they need to be smooth before you put on the top coat - why I'm telling her now to do her job, god only knows - so she said no the top coat will make them smooth....so now my nails are buffed to hell with streaks all over BUT they are locked in and smoothed with a top coat...they look horrible. She then put cuticle oil over, and I realized she was done?! I said do you not see all these buff marks all over the nail? It's not supposed to be like this, it looks awful, so she said she could start over, as if I have time to sit in this gross salon for another hour. DO NOT go here, you're better off going to Lashe or LA Nails in midcity. I also heard them racking up fees to the other woman in the salon and said her pedicure would be over $100.
Hello, I’m leaving this note because I’m confused about the pricing from my visit today. I was told my nails were $50 and my pedicure was $12, which should have come to around $62 before any small fees they added they self . However, I …
I just went to Lina’s nail salon to get my nails done today and I get there to get a refill and pedicure the owner of the salon did my nails I told her I wanted short square round she cuts all of my nails off with my real nails and when I asked her about it she tells me that’s what I asked for and she wasn’t fixing it then made me pay a cut down fee after I just explained to her and her daughter that wasn’t what I asked for so I won’t be visiting this location ever again and I wouldn’t recommend anyone else to her because I let her slide the last time but this is to many times this has happened. I’m very upset about my nails
I was so happy with how my nails came out I did a little photo shoot. I brought some pics from instagram for some festive Halloween themed nails and boy did my nail tech deliver. I did gel polish early at the end of September and I had no chips for a month. Happy Halloween. Love this spot.
Lina’s has become my regular nail spot since I moved to New Orleans. The ladies are really sweet and professional.
