Little Saigon Café is a Vietnamese restaurant at 220 N 10th St in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in the city’s Chinatown area. It offers a neighborhood place to enjoy familiar Vietnamese dishes, with customer reviews mentioning pho, spring rolls, lotus root salad, lemongrass chicken skewers, and broken rice with grilled pork chop and fried egg. The café has a 4.2-star rating from 159 reviews, giving visitors a useful snapshot of other diners’ experiences while leaving room for individual preferences. Its small, casual setting may suit people looking for an intimate meal rather than a large, formal dining room.
Pho is one of the dishes that brings repeat customers back, according to reviewers, and the menu has drawn praise as well as mixed feedback. One regular calls the pho a favorite, while another diner found the vegetable pho broth less flavorful than expected. That difference is worth keeping in mind: tastes vary, and reviews describe personal experiences rather than a guarantee of what every guest will enjoy. Other reported choices include fresh-tasting spring rolls and lotus root salad, which one first-time visitor appreciated as a new experience, along with lemongrass chicken skewers. For a heartier plate, a reviewer enjoyed broken rice topped with grilled pork chop and a fried egg, noting that the fish sauce was well balanced.
The atmosphere is described as cute and notably compact, with one visitor estimating that the dining room has only about four to six tables. That intimate scale can make Little Saigon Café appealing for solo diners, a relaxed meal with a companion, or a casual stop while exploring Chinatown. Reviews also mention prompt, friendly, and attentive service, including a warm welcome from the people looking after guests. Diners have described the food as arriving quickly, which may be especially convenient when you are dining alone or stopping in after an event. Experiences are not identical, so guests should use reviews as helpful context rather than a promise.
Little Saigon Café’s evening schedule makes it an option for dinner and, on several nights, a later meal in Philadelphia. It is open Monday through Wednesday from 4 p.m. to midnight, closed Thursday, and open Friday from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday and Sunday service begins at noon, with Saturday hours until 1 a.m. and Sunday hours until midnight. If you are searching for a Vietnamese restaurant in Philadelphia, PA, Little Saigon Café offers a compact Chinatown setting and customer-mentioned dishes ranging from pho and spring rolls to broken rice. Check the current hours before visiting, especially around the Thursday closure, and choose the dishes that fit your appetite and taste.

The place is really cute! I came here on a weekday in the evening and it was empty, so I had the whole place to myself. I wasn’t too pleased with the vegetable pho- the menu I ordered from said $9. The broth was flavorless. Vegetables were decent. When I went to check out, turns out it was actually $16. Definitely not worth the price, and I probably wouldn’t come back.
Came here after a concert around 10:30pm. One of the very few pho spots open on. Tuesday night. The place is SUPER small. There’s only about 4-6 tables in there if that. Prompt and extremely friendly service by the owner who affectionately calls himself “Uncle Sam”. The biggest con I have which I docked a star was the $15 pp minimum. It was only me and my teenage son and I wanted pho before driving 2 hrs back to DE, he ate at the concert and was tired and not hungry. We were forced with the rule and ultimately paid $15 for 6 chicken wings. Yes they were good, but I don’t like a forced minimum for a casual restaurant like this. Nonetheless, the pho was amazing!! Some of the best I had. But they serve it in a large bowl and only fill it up halfway. 95% of the pho I eat with similar price point, I get way more and I can’t even finish the bowl. Side condiments were fresh. Table condiments could’ve been more fresh/clean but it’s Philly, it was late, and I didn’t expect Michelin service. Uncle Sam is a gem and so sweet. Although the food was good, I don’t think I’d return based off of portion size. Again, be mindful of the $15 minimum in case you bring children or someone who didn’t plan on eating much. There’s 20% gratuity for large parties although idk where you’d sit. Btw the “super hot” sticker is not lying. I love chili sauce in my pho, this one looked sketch so I only put a dab in and boy I was on fire, sniffling and all. Beware!
Stopped in here during my first visit to Philly . So glad I did! Alice was so kind ,and the food was delicious. I started with spring rolls and the lotus root salad . Both were fresh and refreshiThe lotus root salad was a new experience and I Loved it . Also order lemon grass chicken skewers , Chicken pho and chicken vermicelli. Lots of chicken I know ! LOL but all were equally wonderful!. I highly recommend this place. Will definitely visit if I ever come back . 10/10 !!!! Unfortunately I did not take photos because I was so hungry. But all Plates were neatly served and appetizing upon arrival :)
This is my number one/go-to spot in chinatown and I just think it's delicious! The service is simple and the food comes out fast (just how a solo diner as like myself likes it). The gentleman who always takes care of me is just wonderful and attentive. I am a repeat customer. Their Pho is amazing!
Food is decent, with lots of personalized touch. The special was chicken curry for today, which my husband thought was just okay and with similar flavors to Japanese curry. I, on the other hand, loved my broken rice platter with grilled pork chop and fried egg. The fish sauce is just right with the flavor. The chili oil on the table was SPICY, but adds even more flavor to the dish. I even bought chefs own chili oil to bring home with. The environment makes you feel like you’re a guest in someone’s home. The owner Sam engages with everybody in the restaurant. We’ll definitely come back!
