One of the biggest draws here is variety. Customers mention being able to make small changes easily, which matters if you are particular about sweetness, milk choices, or toppings. Reviewers specifically call out an iced coconut coffee with boba, plus add-ons like cream cheese and coconut cream, and one customer appreciated that the staff took care with an almond milk order and avoided mixing in dairy. That kind of flexibility makes Loose Leaf Boba Company a practical stop for people who want a drink tailored to their preferences. Fruit and berry drink fans have also noted that the flavors feel more balanced, which is a welcome detail for anyone who wants something refreshing without too much sugar.
The atmosphere is another reason this Los Angeles boba shop leaves a good impression. Reviewers describe it as a chill, cozy spot with good music and friendly staff, even though ordering is done through iPads at the front. It is tucked away enough to feel like a quieter break from the rush of Downtown, and the phone booth with a privacy curtain is a memorable touch for anyone who needs to take a quick call. Whether you are meeting a friend near Pershing Square, taking a short afternoon break, or looking for a casual drink stop before heading back to work, the setting feels comfortable and low-pressure.
Loose Leaf Boba Company also seems well suited for different kinds of customers: downtown office workers grabbing a quick drink, couples on a casual outing, and people ordering from home or the office who want something dependable for delivery. The long posted hours throughout most of the week add to its convenience, especially on Fridays and Saturdays when it stays open later. As with many small city businesses, checking the latest hours before heading over can be helpful. If you are looking for a bubble tea store in Los Angeles, California with customizable drinks, a cozy DTLA vibe, and options that go beyond standard milk tea, Loose Leaf Boba Company is a solid place to keep on your list.

Sign in to reviewLots of variety in drinks and easy to make small changes to them okay? Tastes really good okay? I got iced coconut coffee with boba okay? I also added cream cheese and coconut cream with quarter sweetness okay? Come try this place okay?
Came at 11:30AM today, their open sign was turned and both Google (updated just last month) and Yelp says their hours are from 8AM-10PM, but the store was closed/locked. Waited until 11:45AM, nobody came to open up, disappointed, we left. Seems like per other reviews, it's been like this for over a year now... And still no resolution to their arbitrary store hours. 😔 Side note: I think it'd be a helpful if social media accounts were posted if stores are to be going to open late/not opening for the day so customers can plan accordingly. 🙂
Kinda a sleeper ngl in the boba space near dtla! Didn't know my girlfriend DoorDashed from here a few times and each time been a new thing I've dug from this place. I'm a big berry and fruit guy so having something balanced from being diabetic levels of sugar or nothing at all is kinda a dealbreaker for me. Over the I think it was like 6 ish times we got stuff from here like the pog or the unicorn one I was met with the Goldilocks of boba. They load that shit too so the fees for the toppings worth every cent. Might dethrone ding in my book if it wasn't for the mulberry section of their lineup. Definitely up there doh regardless!
Very chill spot tucked away next to Pershing square. Despite having good vibes and great amenities (even a phone call booth with a privacy curtain!) this spot is always empty when I’ve shown up. Music is good and the staff are friendly, even though you order from the two iPads in the front. I’ve only had their iced black and Vietnamese coffees, but I’ve always been pleased with what I’ve gotten. Good coffee, good vibes. Look forward to trying more.
Tried this place the other day and it was so worth it! Cute little spot across from Pershing square. Cozy setting and great drinks. They took care to make mine with almond milk and not to mix with dairy which I really appreciated. It was easy to order via the iPads and their people were friendly and warm. I will definitely be back. Also they have cool lids that are resealable :)
