The food here was delicious. I did not know what to expect when I walked in. Instead I was greeted by a very nice and friendly server. The chips and salsa was really, really good. I could have had just that as a meal. The molcajete was delicious and very well served, lots of meat and a steaming delicious salsa to go with it. All ingredients within were delicious. I had the 7 mares. While not the biggest portion I've had it was just average in size but not average in flavor. It was steaming hot served in a metal bowl that retains the heat well. The soup was delicious and a nice moderate mix of seafood is inside it.
TLDR: Look past the small, crowded parking lot, and older building - this is the real deal. The food and service were fantastic, and the price was reasonable. Arrived, was immediately greeted and offered to sit wherever we wish. After we sat, was immediately brought fresh chips and salsa (we requested extra right away as both were excellent!). Drinks were ordered. Food took a while until served, but was definitely worth the wait. It was a quiet evening (Monday) so it wasn't so much from it being busy, but once served was hot and definitely prepared fresh. We had: Carne Asada Fries (some of the BEST carne asada I've ever had) Wet Chile Verde Burrito - Spicy but incredibly tasty. Chile Rellano/Enchelada combination (Absolutely outstanding) The main entrees were amazing, the tortillas fresh, the beans creamy and the mexican rice was absolutely on point. Authenticity and care were obviously put into every dish. It was our first visit, but definitely won't be the last - thank you to all the staff for making our dinner incredible.
It’s a small place but waitress was polite and always checking on us the molcajete was good
