I pulled a few plastic bags because I needed them for all the fruits and vegetables I was buying. He came over and confronted me in a very disrespectful way, He screeched at the top of his lungs 'what are you doing?' Excuse me? I’m here to spend money and support your business! Did he think I was trying to steal a cheap plastic bag that costs nothing? As the picture shows, there’s a clear reason I needed more than one. 😓 I honestly can't believe it; I should have just left without buying anything." "To make matters even worse, when I opened the chili pepper packaging, I found the ones at the bottom were already spoiled. Just unbelievable."
Always clutch to get your asian groceries in LCF. It has pretty much all the fresh meats you need and fresh vegetables.. and then all the frozen things and sauces etc. Most importantly for the kids they have an isle dedicated to asian candy!! It's got a good selection given the size of the store and you cant beat the location in La Canada off Foothill and OceanView. The parking is a bit odd... but for convenience its a staple for me.
I don't believe this location is affiliated with the original Lotte Mart in Korea. The signage and name are slightly different. They primarily offer Korean goods such as groceries, produce and prepared foods. I was in the area and my nieces and nephew needed a refill of snacks to bring to school. Be on the lookout some of the snacks are past its expiration date thats probably why I didn't buy the prepared food but Kimchi and stuff is usually a product that needs fermenting so you should be fine grabbing that. The prices are fairly reasonable and this seems to be the 1 of 3 Korean Markets in La Canada. Small but has a ton of stuff to cook a great Korean Meal
This place has been here a LONG time. Over twenty years! Very reasonably priced produce. Large selection of imported snacks, spices, sauces, noodles, plenty of prepackaged fish (squid, mackerel, etc). They also have all the trendy frozen desserts too.
Really well stocked market, with very fresh selection of vegetables. All kinds of tasty Asian food.
