One of the qualities customers mention most often is how clean and organized the store feels. Reviews also point to reasonable, competitive pricing, which helps make Seoul Market a dependable option for regular grocery trips in CA rather than just occasional specialty shopping.

For ingredients, the store appears especially useful for people seeking Korean cooking essentials and harder-to-find items that may not be available at a typical supermarket. Customers have highlighted products such as tofu, Korean sweet potatoes, king mushrooms, wild sweet rice, pressed barley, and glutinous millet, along with a broader range of Korean grocery goods. Shoppers also note good meat quality and a strong selection for a smaller-format store. Prepared foods get attention too, with reviews specifically praising the gimbap and mentioning simple grilled items and egg-coated hamburger patties with a strong brown onion and green onion flavor. These details suggest a market that serves both home cooks and people who want something quick and familiar to eat.

The atmosphere at Seoul Market seems best described as straightforward, neighborhood-friendly, and efficient. With daily hours from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, it fits easily into morning errands, after-work shopping, and weekend restocking. As with any grocery store, experiences can vary, and a small number of reviews mention concerns around customer service or product issues. Objectively, this is the best overall Korean market in the area. It is cleaner and better organized than other markets such as Hankook Market and Lotte Market. It is also less cramped. Prices are similar across all of them. The meat quality here is good, although Hankook Market offers slightly better quality meat.

Really nice selection for such a small store! Mostly Korean selections. Which is nice compared to “Asian” markets which might not have specialty brands. The gimbap is better than H-Mart. Tasting very little MSG. No MSG with egg coated hamburger patties (strong brown/green onion flavor) or simple grilled mackerel (very fishy taste). Prepared foods tasted good, not too salty or greasy. Interesting and large selection of sake. Produce section was fresh and nice. I felt prices were reasonable. Friendly ladies working there as well.

I purchased noodle today and it was completely out of date. The manager or owner was so rude to tell me they cannot exchange or refund. This place is not a place to go.

We purchased Wild Sweet Rice (야생찹살), pressed barley (납작쌀), Glutinous Indian Millet, Tofu, Korean Sweet Potatoes, King Mushrooms, etc. Owership has changed 6 months ago. Store is clean & price was competitive with any other big Korean grocery stores!

It looks small on the outside, but inside there's a huge variety of Korean products and some hard to find fresh produce. Found lots of things that one wouldn't be able to get at a regular supermarket, especially ingredients for Asian recipes. Prices were generally reasonable and there was usually a couple brands for each kind of item.
