Sign in to reviewThis review is solely for PHO AKAUSHI, the newly opened PHO restaurant inside of Lucky Supermarket. As soon as you go in the supermarket, take a left and walk all the way in until you see tables and chairs. We have been local Pho AKAUSHI customers since pre-Covid and followed Tom, the owner, here to his new store. Here he only has one type of pho on the menu- pho combo with short rib cubes, brisket, flank and bo vien meatballs. The pho is still how I remember- the meat cubes are the most TENDER and flavorful meat you’ll ever have in a pho! You can tell it’s super high quality by the marbeling still visible even when cooked. Aside from the meat, the noodles aren’t overcooked, and soup is super flavorful. Would definitely come back and recommend to a friend!
Bún Chả Hà Nội at Restaurant 777 – Hidden Gem Alert! This review is not for the supermarket but for the restaurant inside. This place is hidden in the back food court of Lucky Supermarket in Garden Grove. But if you’re craving authentic northern Vietnamese food, this is a must-try. We came specifically for the Bún Chả Hà Nội, and wow… it’s pretty good. The grilled pork? Smoky, juicy, and perfectly caramelized. You get both fatty pork belly slices and meat patties swimming in a warm, slightly sweet, tangy dipping broth that’s packed with umami. The rice vermicelli noodles are soft and light, perfect for soaking up the broth. And the herb plate? Super fresh with basil, mint, lettuce, and pickled papaya + carrot that cut through the richness beautifully. It’s DIY eating at its finest — build-your-own bites with noodles, herbs, and pork, dipped right into that golden broth. Every bite is balanced and flavorful. Seating is basic — it’s a supermarket food court, after all — but who cares when the food hits like this? They're having "buy two, get one free" deal so my friend and I had one each and I took the free one home. Good deal!
I popped into Lucky Seafood Supermarket at Pavilion Plaza expecting a quick look… and walked into a full-blown adventure. This place is massive, bright, and loaded with variety, plus there’s a food court inside, so good luck leaving on time. Prices are shockingly affordable, staff is friendly, and the seafood section is next level. The Dungeness crabs? Dangerous. I blacked out and walked out with five. 🦀😂 If you’re in Garden Grove, this spot is a must. Come curious, leave hungry and probably over budget, in the best way 👍🏼
Parking is pretty easy even on weekends. This used to be called "Best Choice supermarket", now it is called Lucky Seafood Supermarket. There is a little food court selling ready to eat types of food. Overall, this place is pretty clean and bright for an Asian supermarket. Items are neatly organized and easy to find. I was looking for Huy Fong Sriracha hot sauce, I tried asking a staff member who was stocking up the shelves. He was friendly and helpful and pointed me to the correct aisles successfully even though his English was very limited. The check out line was pretty quick. Just like most Asian supermarkets there are weekly sales happening every week. Live seafood was not fully stocked where some tanks are empty when I was there. There are live lobster, catfish, dungeonese crabs, etc.
Store is good.wide variety of sea food. Lot of Asian fruits and vegetables. Fresh produce section Seems little small compared to Graden grove one. Also amazing freshly made vegetarian Asian treats and store is right across the exit. Also find lot of Asian crockery set.
