M&J nails salon is the place to go! Their attention to detail and great customer service is superb and I always come out with a great set. My girl Annie always gets me right and is soo creative, she makes my vision come true!
Terrible. Took 2 hours for a simple gel design, she was super rough and said my nails were too short and that’s why my design looks bad, even though she cut my nails!! And it was $60 for something that should’ve been $30. Below i’ve attached what my nails look like and the inspo picture.
I’ve never experienced something so crazy. I came here just for an acrylic nail REMOVAL. I just wanted these nails to be removed THAT’S ALL. As the lady was drilling one of my nails down, she made a wrong move and accidentally drilled my real nail. Although it happened for a split second, it was drilled deep enough into my real nail that I started bleeding. Instantly, she put some kind of clear liquid on the nail that I thought was alcohol, but afterwards I realized it was NAIL GLUE. The kind of nail glue that’s in small press on nail packages. I asked her why she put glue and she said it was to stop the bleeding. I was in so much pain but, I was trying to be understanding because after all, it was an ACCIDENT. However, she then proceeded to tell me that suddenly that when drilling nails, it’s better to not move your fingers because accidents could happen. I responded that I wasn’t moving and that I had my fingers completely still while she did her job and that SHE made a mistake, not me. She got quiet. Then, she explained that when they go too far on the cuticles or nails and they make a small cut or wound that the client starts bleeding, they ALWAYS use glue. She told me using alcohol causes it to sting (um.. obviously?) and that using glue always helps. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing because after she put glue, it started hurting more. I didn’t want to argue after reiterating several times that I didn’t agree with that method because I’m still in pain so, I just accepted her argument and didn’t say anything. I asked her how much they would charge and she said $15. Once I was going to pay, the other lady told me she’d leave it at $10 because of the accident. I asked her if it was true they always use glue to stop bleeding and she said yes because the next day, the glue just comes off. Honestly, her explanation on why glue helps made me more confused and more irritated because it HURT. I told her I understand (I don’t understand, but I wasn’t going to argue), but I just didn’t agree. She then told me, in a very condescending way, that she understands why I didn’t agree because using glue isn’t “in the book” and it’s not traditional, basically, for nail salons to use. Mind you, I’m not not agreeing because I don’t believe in using glue to stop bleeding, I’m not agreeing because she used glue, AND IT MADE THE PAIN EVEN WORSE. I paid and then I left. Believe it or not, I’m not writing this review to make this place look bad, I genuinely just want people to BE CAREFUL when getting nails done or removed from nail salons that USE GLUE FOR SMALL WOUNDS. ALWAYS!!!
I would love to share my excellent experience with M&J nails. Angie did an amazing work, thank you so much, highly recommend and definitely will be back
I’m feeling very generous by giving this place 2 stars. I had an acrylic set as shown in pic which I asked to have removed and then get a manicure with shellac on my natural nails, the guy who removed my acrylic set was super harsh and inconsiderate on how rough he was being. The lady (whose name I do not know) who did my manicure and shellac did a horrible job. I got my nails done 6 days ago and my shellac has chipped off already, she negligently removed my cuticles without adding cuticle softener which only added to the pain from the rough removal of acrylic set. Now my cuticles are coming up and I had to do a manicure myself because of how much of a horrible job they did!!! I will not come back to this place, save your money and go somewhere else.
