Consistently delicious pastries and bread. I recommend coming early at opening time to get their fresh chocolate croissants instead of later in the day. They are crispier on the outside 2 ends with a more pronounced delicate and buttery interior. Combined with the aroma of the chocolate batons inside, the flavor is exceptional. Their Campagne bread tastes amazing. The exterior crust is exceptionally crispy with a deeply toasty and nutty aroma. The interior crumb is perfectly moist, with a very soft textured interior that has a complex earthy flavor with just the smallest amount of acidity that pairs well with butter.

The bread is very good, the coffee isn't bad. We ate there for breakfast, but what we ordered was cold; it would have been much better if it were hot or warm. They don't offer that option, and there's no bathroom in the establishment either.

I’m European and have lived in the US nearly 10 years. The bread and pastries are the best I’ve had outside of Europe. Absolutely wonderful. The lemon tart is to die for. I was skeptical of the chocolate almond croissant as I’m not a big fan of almond paste but I got it because everyone praised it. The almond flavor is not overpowering at all. Very nice, will definitely get it again. I got there as they opened on a Saturday morning and there was a line out the door at 8.01 am. But 20 minutes later I had a big bag of food.

I’m so happy I found this bakery. Everything was absolutely amazing. We ordered a variety of thing such as artisanal breads, croissants, pastries, and coffee. Everything was super delicious. The service was very friendly. The only negative was that they had the music so loud inside that it was impossible to communicate with the cashier other than pointing at stuff. I have no clue why they would keep the music so loud that it’s impossible to communicate with customers. Anyway, we’re definitely going again.

Best bakery in Houston!! I am so glad I found Magnol, everything is fresh, delicious, the best quality ingredients, and always a pleasure to go and interact with their lovely staff. I am very picky about the bread my family eats and now we only eat the sour dough loaf from Magnol, worth every dollar. Also their chocolate croissants are heaven! I also love that I know when I buy there I am supporting a local owned small business. The owner Krissy is welcoming and friendly. Sometimes on a weekend you might have to line up, but don’t let that deter you because it’s always worth the wait ❤️
