Mai Tea Boba

I absolutely love this spot. They have delicious thick and creamy matcha not overly sweetned so u can actually still enjoy the matcha and a bunch of other drinks like milk teas the creme brulee milk tea is sweet and tasty and refreshers u can put different toppings in . Even crystal boba. And the Vietnamese Coffee was delicious coffee was strong but not harsh or bitter and it was perfectly sweetened with condensed milk.

This is seriously a hidden boba gem in DTLA. The shop is super welcoming and has seating to sit and enjoy your drinks. We got the Berry Me in Roses and the strawberry matcha - both were amazingly refreshing for an afternoon treat. Would definitely recommend and will return!

Hands down my new favorite matcha / hojicha place in DTLA! The quality is amazing and they have a good variety of different matcha and hojicha flavors. They use real premium matcha and hojicha and you can certainly tell. I’ve been here a few times now and have ordered the Matcha w/ Taro Cream Top, Matcha x Vietnamese Coffee, and Hojicha w/ Hojicha Cream Top. All 3 were amazing. I’ll be coming back here frequently!

New boba place in town. They opened up in July of 2025, I believe. With Boba Time charging absurd prices and OwWhoo being closed down for a year, this is the place to go. The drinks are well made, and the owner is really nice. She'll explain the drinks if you're not sure what they're about. She'll also adjust the sweetness to your liking and suggest one based on your vague preference. Stamp card only needs five stickers for a free drink. If you're into matcha, they have a variety of options to choose from. (I'm a hipster who had been drinking matcha for years, so I used to feel self-conscious ordering matcha at tea shops because I felt judged for being "trendy," but I am fully embracing the trend now.) Prices are reasonable. Alternative milk (almond, oat, etc.) has no upcharge! I also like their packaging. My only gripes are that one time the store was "open" but locked, and their phone line didn't seem connected. They were also closed without notice on Xmas Eve. But she gave me a free drink coupon for my troubles. I'll suggest keeping things updated next time I see her. Go support this generous store so that it stays around! I don't want to see another place in DTLA shut down.

This is by far the best boba place in DTLA! They got a great variety of drinks including teas, slushies and milk teas. They got new matcha drinks which I highly recommend!
