Manhattan Nail Salon

Today my daughter and I walked in to see if we could get squeezed in for a pedicure-we typically book ours online. They were busy. They fit us in immediately and I got Susan. She was SO kind. Genuinely kind and asking me about my life. The pedicure was AMAZING! We moved away from the area after losing everything in the hurricanes and still drive down to get my services done here. Thank you, Susan, for being amazing in every way!You do one great French pedicure!!!

I’ve been to Manhattan Nails multiple times before and have generally had okay experiences, but unfortunately this visit made my decision about not coming back. I went in for a gel manicure and had builder gel on my nails, which I’ve had before. While removing it, the nail tech was extremely aggressive with the drill. He went so hard on my pinky nail that the tip broke and it is now legitimately paper-thin and can almost fold in half. I have naturally strong, long nails, so this is incredibly frustrating knowing it will take months to build that strength back. I immediately stopped him and pointed it out to the nail tech, Don, but didn’t receive a response. I then spoke with the front desk manager, who was able to explain that he needed to be more gentle. He did lighten up for a little while and changed the drill head, but continued using the drill throughout the rest of the manicure and repeatedly went too hard. I mentioned more than once that it was hurting hitting my skin and making my nails thin, and unfortunately, I was met with laughter and then him continuing. The polish itself was fine, but I’m really disappointed that my concerns about the health of my nails weren’t taken seriously. I’ve been here multiple times before, but unfortunately, this experience was enough that I won’t be returning.

I have been going to this salon on and off for years. No major issues. This past week I went in to get a pedicure and gel manicure. I had Mimi as my tech and while she is super friendly and a good personality, my pedicure really hurt and I was disappointed in my manicure. She cut my toe cuticles to the point where is hurt for days after and the gel was applied so sloppy. The sides of my nails were showing and she got polish all over my skin that had to be removed. At the end she did something no one has done which is to sand the edges of the tips of my gel manicure. It almost ensures the gel will lift at the ends with shorter amounts of time. I always can grow my gels 2-3 weeks and while they don't look good toward the end, they never peel off from the tip down. On day 5, my nail gel is now lifting off. Very disappointing.

I used to really love coming here, and would routinely get manicures and pedicures. The last time I came in just for a simple pedicure, no polish or anything. I didn’t catch the woman’s name who was my nail technician but she did a really sloppy job. Cut my toenails uneven, didn’t remove my cuticles, and left my heels with jagged skin. I pointed out some dead skin that she had not removed before getting up out of the chair and I guess I just assumed she fixed all of it but after I paid and got in my car I saw it up close and saw that it was a mess. There was still some old polish on one of my nails even that she hadn’t fully removed (hard to see from sitting in the chair because it was clear glitter). I paid for the deluxe pedicure which was 37 bucks before tip and frankly I could have just done a better job myself at home. I went back in and asked for a refund, or even a discount, they stated they were unable to do either of those things and also did not offer to fix it. Very disappointed because this used to be my go to spot!

10/10 EVERY TIME. AnhDo is and has been my nail tech going on 5 years. She is always punctual, on time and sweet! She always gets my nails and toes PERFECT! The nail shop is always very clean, inviting and relaxing when I’m provided my services. You will not regret it!
