Inside, Marina Grocery is especially useful for cooks who like to compare options across sauces, spices, noodles, rice, and everyday dry goods. Customers have pointed to the produce department as a strength, and the store’s aisles can help stock a kitchen for quick weeknight meals, hot pot nights, stir-fries, soups, and larger home-cooked spreads. Shoppers may also find kitchenware alongside food staples, which makes the store convenient when you need ingredients and basic tools in the same visit. One of the reasons locals seek out this grocery store is its prepared-food and fresh counter mix. Reviewers mention a deli with BBQ pork, roast duck, and other ready-made items, along with a bakery section for shoppers who want something quick to bring home. The seafood area is another notable draw, with live seafood noted by customers and a free fish frying service mentioned in reviews. Around Lunar New Year, shoppers have also seen seasonal celebration goods, making Marina Grocery relevant for holiday meal planning, family visits, and last-minute ingredients tied to traditional gatherings.

The atmosphere is best understood as a busy, no-frills market: practical, stocked, and focused on volume. Reviews highlight positives such as variety, produce, some lower-priced meats compared with nearby options, and cashiers who work quickly, while other customers have raised concerns about service warmth and seafood-counter expectations. That mix makes it smart to shop with a clear list, check fresh items carefully, and ask questions when ordering prepared foods or seafood. Its daily schedule also helps shoppers plan repeat visits without memorizing different weekend hours. For home cooks, value-minded shoppers, and visitors searching for Asian groceries in Milpitas, CA, Marina Grocery offers a concrete selection of staples, fresh departments, deli choices, bakery items, and seasonal goods at an accessible local address.

The cashiers could be nicer. How about a hello and a thank you. They're speaking in their language to other employees, loudly, and ignoring me, the customer. On the other hand; the store itself is well stocked, clean and their produce department is great. Their meats are lower priced than other nearby stores. They have a vast amount of different fish. I had them fry my tilapia, it took them a few minutes and it was done. Give them a try, it is Asian oriented but there is a great variety of ethnic and American foods. Plus a deli and bakery!

I bought a whole duck 6/9/26, I payed $36.00 and they stole and kept part of the duck for themself, they had a metal around the duck, when they cut it, so you don’t see what is going on. I saw they put part of the duck in a bag and put it away, very dishonest, I’m not going back to shop there.

Good variety of spices and sauces, noodles and rice. Good selection of kitchenware. Lots of ready-made food. Cashiers work as quickly as possible.

I am visiting from Texas, and my good friend said we could get fresh seafood there. It was disgusting. Everything was filthy. Fish on an open tub in the middle of the aisle. The health department needs to be called. The scale alone! Should give anyone a cause for concern.
