Mark’s Duck House

I heard a lot of good things about McDuck House, so we decided to stop by and try it for ourselves. The dim sum and other dishes were okay, but unfortunately they didn’t really match our expectations. The flavors were just not quite what we were looking for, and some dishes, especially the shrimp, didn’t seem as fresh as we hoped. We also tried the stir-fried pea shoots. Unfortunately, this dish was not prepared the way we expected. The vegetables seemed to be overcooked, so instead of having the fresh, slightly crisp texture and natural sweetness that pea shoots usually have, they became a bit soft and chewy. It felt more like boiled vegetables rather than a proper stir-fry. This was just our personal preference, as we really enjoy pea shoots when they are cooked lightly and still keep their freshness. We did mention our thoughts to the kitchen because we wanted to share our honest feedback. Everyone has different tastes, and this is just our personal experience. Overall, the food was decent, but it didn’t really wow us or leave a memorable impression. For us, it’s probably not a place we would return to, but we appreciate the chance to try it.

Was a little nervous to try this dimsum place but WOW! I came early because i know how crazy it can get. My family and I were seated immediately & food came out before we could bless the food! Our server Wei was fantastic, he was very attentive, professional & so kind to our table. We enjoyed the big portions & how great everything tasted. We’re definitely going to be back.

I’ve been coming to Mark Duck House for a while and have always enjoyed the food here. The service is good, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes you get. The servings are generous, which makes it a great value overall. However, on my recent visit, I noticed that the taste was not quite the same as before. The dishes were still decent, but the flavor seemed a little different and not as memorable as it used to be. I hope they can bring back the original taste that made this place stand out. Still, it’s a solid spot for a meal and worth visiting.

Food from what we ate was good. Enjoyed the veggies and the walnut shrimp dish. There's a somewhat random-feeling assortment of dim sum at the front of the restaurant (close enough to the door that it's cold in the area, so you know the food there is also cold and stale). We did not take any from there, although as we took a look, the staff told us we can order from the menu for fresh ones. Makes you wonder why that assortment is out in the first place then. The service is not attentive, which is standard for a Chinese restaurant, tbh The atmosphere is lacking; too-bright fluorescent-style lighting with limited decor. The space feels like it's half under renovation or something.
