Miss Saigon Vietnamese Restaurant & Lounge is a Vietnamese restaurant in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at 1316 Walnut St, Philadelphia, PA 19107. It brings Vietnamese dining together with a lounge setting, making it a place to consider for a meal, a night out, or a gathering where guests want food and drinks in the same venue. Customer reviews often mention the atmosphere alongside the meal, so the experience may suit diners who value a lively setting as much as what arrives at the table. Guests describe the food as flavorful, hot, and fresh, and several reviews praise the care taken with its preparation. The available customer feedback does not name specific dishes, so it is best to ask the team what they recommend rather than assume a particular specialty. Reviewers say staff recommendations have helped them choose and describe the service as attentive and welcoming. One guest also called out Chef Johnny, noting a personal greeting and flavorful food. If you are unsure what to order, asking your server for guidance is a practical way to find something that suits your tastes.
The restaurant’s lounge identity is part of its appeal. Reviews highlight the decor and ambiance, with diners describing a fun, energetic feel for evenings out. Late-night happy hour is mentioned by customers as a highlight, and the restaurant is also discussed as a spot for drinks as well as dinner. Since posted business hours were not provided in the listing, check directly with the restaurant before planning a late visit; schedules and offerings can change. This is especially useful if you are arriving after a flight, attending an event, or coordinating a group with a specific timing in mind.
Miss Saigon may be a good fit for a birthday dinner, a date, friends meeting for an evening out, or families looking to share a restaurant experience. Reviews describe service that can feel attentive and engaging, with one birthday guest praising the server’s care and the chef’s visit to the table. Another family reviewer appreciated being welcomed with children and staying longer than expected. Experiences naturally vary, and one review describes a less positive visit, so it is sensible to consider recent feedback and communicate any seating or service needs when you arrive.

I love this restaurant! Late night happy hour is always a blast. The personalities and customer service skills of the staff is top tier! The food is amazing - always hot and fresh. Take any recommendations provided by the staff as they will not steer you wrong. Everything they've suggested to me has been A1. This is the perfect place for a chill night or a date night.
First let me say thank you for allowing not only my finance but my children to experience this amazing space we were able to actually stay longer than expected due to how amazing they are ! Shout out to Chef Johnny he’s amazing ! Very flavorful food ! Very detailed ! You can tell the food is made out of love ! Both my kids are diagnosed with Austim and the staff is so understanding and amazing ! They interacted with us which I appreciated It truly from the bottom of my heart . Now let’s talk about the look , it’s so beautiful ! Plain and simple I wished we took pictures of the food because the placemat of the Foot was even amazing ! Presentation on the food was perfect ! The waitress was very outgoing & very consistent ! Very sweet with the kids and consistent on checking up on us . We are the type of people who like to go out and try new things so We asked chef Johnny to pick our meals out a family of 4 ( 2 adults 2 children ) & we loved the Food ! The meals picked for us were perfect very unique meals and each meal were perfect for eachother taste buds ! Literally my kids were licking their plates clean and I even ate everything . My fiancé is a chef himself and he ate his plate clear . We asked the waitress to picked a drink for myself and the drink was for refreshing ( it was alcoholic ) I order 3 that’s how amazing it was ! Honestly we will Deff go back ! It’s such a hidden gem I’m glad we check it out Ps I also notice people saying something bout 20% but if you read their menu it’s in bold also it’s very common in center city for high tip ! I honestly spend a lot more other places for a family of 4 it was cheaper here. Personally money is very well spent
The ambiance and decor are nice, but that’s about the only positive thing I can say. We arrived at 8:30pm after coming from the PHL airport. Most places were about to close, so we figured this spot — open until 1am with good reviews — was a safe bet. They sat us at the bar for full service since we didn’t have a reservation, which was fine. The food, however, was a big letdown. My pork chop rice looked Instagram-worthy but the pork was over-charred, extremely tough, and so salty it was almost inedible and I didn’t even use the fish sauce. The fried egg on the other hand was perfect. My cousin, who had just gotten off an international flight, ordered the pho and was surprised at how it tasted like a soup base. To top it off, they added a mandatory 20% service fee on top of food and alcohol tax. If you use card there is also another fee. The bill came to $69.37 with one lager. I paid with a $100 bill and they handed me back exactly $30 — apparently rounding up to the nearest dollar now? Way overpriced for the quality. The price clearly reflects the location and that mandatory gratuity, not the food. Unless you’re just going for the bar, I wouldn’t recommend this place.
We enjoyed dinner here last night for my friends 30th birthday! Deanna our waitress was fabulous, attentive and fun! The chef came to our table to greet us and the atmosphere was a vibe
Miss Saigon is a MUST stop and try kind of place! The food, drinks, service and ambiance are all top tier! We had the pleasure of having Sasha as our server Saturday night and we had an amazing time! She was super attentive and made sure that we were properly taken care of throughout the night. I highly recommend the Banh Mi, Summer Rolls, Saigon skewers, and the skinny Banh Bao with pork. Also the ice cream flight was insane! The flavors were unreal! We really enjoyed the rose lychee and the sticky mango rice ice cream! Will certainly be back very soon to visit Sasha and enjoy the amazing flavors featured at Miss Saigon
