Molly Tea (Houston Chinatown)

I had the peach oolong milk tea for my first drink here and it was delicious! Tried the jasmine pecan milk tea as well and I loved it - a unique flavor I haven’t had elsewhere. The shop is clean and nicely decorated, kind of feels like you’re walking into a luxurious shop rather than a tea cafe haha. Love getting their signature pink cups / reusable cold bags. Even after all these months after opening, Molly Tea remains busy and there may not be seating inside.

I visited this Chinese tea shop recently and had a fairly average experience overall. The tea itself was decent — the flavor was smooth and the ingredients tasted fresh enough, but nothing really stood out compared to other tea shops nearby. The menu had a good variety of drinks, though some options were a bit overpriced for the portion size. The staff were polite, but the service felt a little slow during busy hours. The shop was clean and had a comfortable atmosphere, making it a nice place to sit for a short break. However, the waiting time and lack of consistency in drink quality made the experience less impressive than expected. Overall, it’s an okay tea shop if you’re nearby and craving a drink, but I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to visit again.

I stopped by Molly Tea and tried the Snowy Jasmine and it was so good. The jasmine flavor was really fragrant but still light, and the snowy foam on top made it extra creamy without being too sweet. It tasted super fresh and smooth, not artificial at all. The staff was nice and the drink came out pretty quickly too. I’d definitely go back for it again.

It was super crowded but the wait was super quick. We ordered from one of the kiosks (there was 2 total) which had no line. The drinks are very customizable but there aren't much descriptions. Behind the counter, they have a TV screen that displays all the orders and if they are ready or in process. You need to show them your receipt to receive your order. I got the Snowy DanCong which is a oolong tea from Guangdong. It had a strong tea scent and a good floral flavor. The "Snowy" is their signature Jasmine whipped cream which was very light, airy, and not too sweet. There were some crushed pecans on top and it gave it the perfect crunch, if you're into that.

Molly Tea is a great spot in Houston for grabbing tea after a meal with friends. The teas are high quality, and you can really taste the real tea base along with the natural floral flavors. It feels refreshing and well-balanced, not overly sweet like many other bubble tea places. The place is quite popular, so the line can get long at times. However, the staff work very efficiently—orders move quickly and drinks are prepared and served in a timely manner. Overall, it’s a great place to stop by for a refreshing drink and a casual chat with friends. Definitely worth visiting if you enjoy good-quality tea.
