Whether you discovered Nakwon through a local market or are searching for a bakery in the Elkins Park area, it is a place to explore for these specialty treats.

Rice cakes are the standout reason customers recommend Nakwon. Reviewers mention a variety of Korean tteok, with songpyeon singled out as a favorite. They also praise the freshness and pleasantly chewy texture, and one customer calls the shop a Philadelphia-area staple for traditional dduk. These comments point to a bakery focused on familiar rice cake flavors and textures rather than a broad list of unverified specialties. Customers also mention misugaru, a Korean grain drink mix, and say they like how Nakwon’s version blends. For gatherings, one reviewer says the bakery makes cakes for parties and can deliver them. Contact the shop directly to ask about current choices, ordering details, and delivery availability for your event; the listing does not specify a full menu or delivery area. Been searching for a local 떡집, lo and behold Nakwon. Discovered it by purchasing their product from the Upper Darby Hmart, I ended up liking it enough to find the brick and mortar store. Definitely recommend you give it a try, the lady who works there is really nice.

Best song pyeon around. Also have misugaru; theirs seems to blend better than some others I've had.

One of Philly's staple dduk (rice cake) stores. Think "mom and pop", traditional taste-- what dduk should taste like
