I’ve been coming here for several years for pedicures and a few times for manicures as well, and have brought my partner and friends along with me at different times. Usually it’s a good experience, there have been a couple times where I wasn’t super happy with the results or my nails got cut too short, etc but it’s always been minor enough that I just let it go. It seems to be inconsistent depending on which tech you happen to get. Today I treated my friend to a deluxe pedi with shellac (I had made the appointment yesterday) and we started at the same time but hers lasted 5-10 minutes longer even though mine included shellac removal so *mine* should have been longer (she didn’t have any polish on her nails to remove). I especially noticed how rushed my pedi was going when her tech really took his time to massage the sugar scrub into her entire legs and same with the mud mask/hot towels and callous removal. My tech barely touched mine and quickly rinsed off the scrub without rubbing it in thoroughly and rushed through the mud mask treatment, and spent more time scratching the bottom of my feet with her sharp nails (through the gloves of course).. I think it was supposed to be like a massage, except it did not feel good at all and the soft sole of my foot started to feel raw while everywhere else went virtually untouched. Very strange. She seemed distracted the entire time, rushed through the deluxe pedi that I paid a deluxe price for, when in the past I’ve had the tech set a timer for each section to ensure I’m getting what I paid for. Two minutes after she said I was done, she grabbed her purse and bee-lined out of the salon. That’s when I realized she had somewhere to be and had definitely rushed my pedi, and I waited another 5-10 minutes for my friend’s pedi to finish up, feeling a little annoyed that I’m paying the same for my pedi and getting a different experience. Not a great feeling especially for a repeat customer who consistently tips pretty well! I’m home now and still have thick layers of dry skin on my heels including the ragged edges where my tech wasn’t thorough to make sure it was smoothed away. I will say, my friend’s toenails ended up not fully meeting expectations since she got the same shiny cat eye polish that I did but mine is much more pronounced and the shade she got is much more mellow, but still didn’t look like the sample—from some angles it looked like plain or matte polish. They comped the $5 extra charge for that specific type of polish for both of us even though I was happy with mine and said I was willing to pay the extra fee for mine, so that was a nice gesture. I just wish the rest of my pedicure had been up to standards.
Tina has been doing nails for over three decades. Sue, Tina and Tony are excellent technicians! parking available on the street, and not too far from my favorite coffee place Pete's on Broadway. Come say hi to Tina Sue and Tony get a pedicure and manicure
This was a first time for me here at this place . I had been going to a salon up the street for years and my nail tech left so I had to search for a new person who loved their job and making their customer happy so I read the reviews to this place and yes they were accurate! I found my new nail tech ! Lisa did an amazing job she was very passionate about her work and made sure I was happy . Not very many know the right way to do dip powder and she did it just how I like. And didn’t use any cheap product as the previous place did and then charges way more . I left happy and their prices are actually reasonable. $100 for a deluxe pedi and full set nail powder dip . This girl is very happy
Had a wonderful experience here! A friend and I made a last minute appointment and the nail artist not only did an amazing job but they even stayed open a bit longer just for us. Tina did my nails and they turned out just how I pictured them. A great clean, calming environment with a kind team :)
First pedicure ever, didn't know what to expect. Excellent service from Sue and Lisa! Got a massage pedi with hot stones and shellac polish. My feet feel and look amazing. Great work clipping difficult toenails, gentle with toes and firm with massage. I'm definitely going back! 👍👍👍 …
