⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ New York West Bakery & Cafe What a wonderful local find! The owner is an absolute delight and makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in. It’s easy to see why New York West Bakery & Cafe has been featured on ABC15 Arizona! Their saying, “Love us for our sweets, return for the sandwiches,” is right on the mark. I had the breakfast sandwich with egg, Swiss cheese, and turkey, and it was absolutely delicious — YUM! Fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Of course, with all those incredible bakery treats staring back at you, it’s hard to leave without something sweet, too! Definitely a place I’ll be returning to. Highly recommend supporting this great local bakery and cafe! 🥐🥪☕
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Search is Over! I’m not originally from New York, but I spent three years living right outside the city on Long Island, and my wife grew up in Floral Park. Ever since moving back to the West Valley, we’ve been on an absolute mission trying to find a legit, authentic New York-style bakery. I’m thrilled to say the search is finally over. Don't get me wrong, there are a few decent spots scattered around Phoenix, but this place is in a completely different league. It is by far the best we’ve had since leaving the East Coast. Here is what makes this bakery an absolute must-visit: The Classics are Spot On: My wife took one bite of their rainbow cookies and black and white cookies and instantly said it felt like a taste of home. The black and whites are exactly how they should be—a soft, perfectly cake-like texture with just the right amount of sweetness, not artificial tasting at all. Next-Level Pastries: I am completely obsessed with their coffee cake. We also grabbed some lobster tails and cream-filled pastries, and they were out of this world. Flaky, rich, and ridiculously fresh. Real Bakery Bread: Finding a proper loaf of bread is arguably one of the hardest things to do in the West Valley, so I made sure to grab one while we were there. It absolutely delivered. The Vibe: The inside of the building is entirely pink, super cute, and spotlessly clean. It’s just a welcoming, great atmosphere the second you walk through the doors. I already know we’ll be regulars. Their sandwiches and take-and-bake pizzas looked amazing sitting in the case, so those are definitely next on my list. Bottom line: This place is fire. Absolutely fire. Do yourself a favor and get over here.
They certainly charge a lot for 12 cupcakes but cant package them properly. The decorations were cute before they were transported I'm sure. I called to complain and the woman who answered acknowledged they knew they would get messed up during transportation because there was nothing in the boxes to keep the cup cakes separated. I asked for a call from the manager or owner and its been several days with no call. They had plenty of time from when the order was placed until pick up to get appropriate packaging. I've been coming here for years, had high hopes with the new management but they seem to care more about making the outside look cute than making their product's packaging functional. They lost a customer.
The good food is amazing!!! The coffee is so hot and I loved my croissant yesterday so much I came back for a banh mi today and couldn’t help myself and left with so much more, rugelach, and cream puff. I also tried the jojoba oil on my dry skin - - oh yeah, they sell a line of beauty supply, Heather Loraine and more, natural and organic!! Who knew this beautiful pink building full of pastry had so much more!!!! Will be back again. Thank you so much!!
We noticed some changs to the menu and were told this was under new management. We had the opportunity to stop for breakfast today. We made the right choice! You can get one egg, one sausage link, one bacon, hash browns and toast for $8.69. The breakfast was wonderful! I also received a free loaf of Italian bread with my order. I am not sure if it was a special only for today, but what a fantastic surprise! Everyone was very pleasant. The lady behind the counter also brought out our food and cleared our plates. The owner even stopped by the table to make sure we were happy! We will be back again.
