The GOOD: The I had the Chicken Thali Which is a combination of different curries, two types of rice, bread, chutney, and lentils. The combination of dishes were probably not something I would have ordered alone, but it was nice having the different flavors with the Thali. The BAD: When I ordered my food, I was not asked about a drink. I typically have a Lassi or Chai. I waited for the server to come back, thinking they had a different method in how they accept orders only to wait 10 minutes without any correspondence. I went to the front and asked for something to drink, and they looked over at the table and stated,” There’s a pitcher of water on the table”. I told them water would be fine, but I needed something to drink it with. They handed me a paper cup similar to the ones you use at the dentist office when you rent your mouth out. Picture is provided. I ordered Samosas As an appetizer. I asked two different times about the appetizer and each time they said they Were making them fresh and they would be out. I was finished with my entire meal before the samosas arrived. I was told they added a couple more since I had to wait. I received an important phone call while eating. The music was so loud I had to step out to hear the person on the other end. Recommendations: probably order out for delivery since the food tastes good. I wouldn’t dine-in again.
I seriously wanted to slap the chef (figuratively 😆) who made this fried rice. I ordered mild fried rice, but it felt like they emptied half a container of pepper powder into it. Mild should mean mild! And the raita? It looked like plain white water. The salan wasn’t any better either—it reminded me of the watery “serva” you get at some roadside Indian dhabas. 🫢 Honestly, I don’t know how people keep coming here for the food. At the counter, I saw samosas, punugulu, and other snacks sitting in what looked like a fryer full of old black oil. 😆 Then came the Irani chai. At the bottom of the cup, there was a thick layer of powder. When I asked the person at the counter, they casually said, “It comes like that because of the heat in the flask.” That explanation somehow made the experience even better. 😂 Order name: Subbu on 19th June. Note: Evado annadu dallas food bavuntadi ani, egiri thannali vadini.
We ordered chicken chilli dry and Chinese veg rice and Mysore Dosa. The chicken and rice were loaded with salt. We had to tell the server about how hard it was to eat such salty food. She was quick to apologize and offered us a replacement. Service: /10 The Mysore dosage was great but again the spice level was a too high for us. Overall seems like a good place and the food was fresh. Great service makes it a gem!
Been to this place a few times for Indian snacks and tea, and everything has tasted great so far. The snacks are fresh and flavorful, and the tea is always enjoyable. It’s a nice spot to relax and enjoy authentic flavors. will definitely keep coming back.
The restaurant looks relatively new, but unfortunately, it did not seem very well-maintained. We arrived around 6:30 PM, and as soon as we sat down, we noticed the tables were sticky and not very clean. The two menus we were given were torn and had food stains on them. There were also water pitchers already placed on each table, which may be convenient, but they did not look sanitary. The pitchers had fingerprints and visible buildup on the outside, which was a little off-putting. The men’s bathroom was also not clean. There were no napkins, and toilet paper was on the floor. In the dining room, the green tiled wall had visible handprints, and I also noticed cobwebs, dead mosquitoes, and dust on the window ledges. For a restaurant that was not very busy on a weekday evening, I think the staff could have used the slower time to focus on deep cleaning and maintaining the dining area. As for the food, we ordered chicken biryani, samosa chaat, butter chicken, and naan. The food took quite some time to come out, which I normally do not mind if it means the food is fresh. However, the timing was off. My wife’s food came out first, and by the time she had finished, my samosa chaat appetizer arrived about 20 minutes later. My entrée came out around 10 minutes after that. Ideally, appetizers should come out before the entrées, or at least the meals should be timed closer together. That said, the food itself was very good. Everything was flavorful, the presentation was nice, and the staff were kind. I just hope the restaurant puts more attention into cleanliness, maintenance, and timing because the food has a lot of potential. As a restaurant consultant and hospitality professional, I would be happy to offer my services if the team ever wants support improving the guest experience while preserving the quality of the food
