Food was kinda meh, stock good but nuts tasted kinda bad and the filling itself (bread, carrots and mushrooms?) tasted like it had just been cold (not very flavorful) Atmosphere good, not many people at 2:30 on a sunday. Prices decent, maybe non-vege food would have been better. Food came extremely fast.

We stopped in yesterday and were so delightfully surprised. There are lots of dishes from all over China and Taiwan. The choice is a little overwhelming but you can't go wrong. The appetizers were a little different from what we expected (I've only had sliced potato that is more salt and sichuan peppercorn forward rather than chili oil and vinegar) but they were still fun to try. We also had the chili cabbage and scallion pancake for appetizers The Mongolian beef was the star - it wasn't breaded/coated and fried (which we prefer). We're really excited to come back and try more of the menu. The prices are super reasonable and encouraged us to try more of the menu

My hubby and I have been eating at this restaurant for a few years, a couple of times a month. Food: Clean and delicious, large variety, generous portions, prices at least 20% lower than similar restaurants. There is also a tea bar where you can order different teas in pots served on a tea tray. Service: Friendly and informal. Waitress speaks both English and Mandarin. Atmosphere: The double volume ceiling and spacious seating make this restaurant very comfy and luxurious. So different from tight, noisy chinese restaurants. I have also noticed larger groups with ample seating eat here.

Gourmet Healthy Chinese food from Wenyan & Tom Petersen and their master chefs - now in 3 locations. I go back again and again when I'm in town. Tom plays cool jazz in El Cerrito Noodles Fresh. Last night at their Berkeley Downton location I had one of my favorite vegetable dishes "Half Half" with Garlic + Brown Rice and good hot tea. Wenyan also offers connoisseur High Mountain Chinese Tea served traditionally. Highly reccomend! JH *NOTE: tasty Tofu from Wok can be added to any dish for only $2 #gourmet #noodles #healthyfood #chineserestaurant #teahouse
