Stopped by for brunch with a friend. The menu is just big enough to not be overwhelmed while also offering a great variety of sweet and savory items. We got a pistachio croissant, mango cheese danish, almond croissant, and jalapeño turkey croissants. No complaints regarding the pastries as they were flakey, fresh, and not too sweet! We also got the breakfast croissant which was perfect to share. The sandwich itself was yummy though a tad heavy from the garlic aioli (I would get it on the side next time). We also got a hot chai latte and a hot rose chai latte since we heard the chai was made in-house. I would not recommend either of these drinks as they mostly just tasted like milk. Service is notable and wonderful. Seating area upstairs has a nice and welcoming atmosphere.

Come here often with my daughter for lunch and dessert. I recommend the Ceasars salad, the BLT and all the dessert. The bread are really if you want a specific bread it suggest calling ahead to make sure its there or order the day before. I sometimes get their challah bread which isn't one of the loaf they have every day so I call ahead so they can have it made for me when I pick. This time we got the caramel cheese cake and chocolate brownie.

If you find yourself in Poway and have a weakness for authentic, high-quality pastries, O'Brien's Boulangerie is an absolute must-visit. The only "problem" you’ll face is the selection—the variety is so impressive and everything looks so delicious that it’s genuinely hard to decide what to walk out with! On my recent visit, I picked up a few treats to go. I grabbed a Blueberry Cheesecake for my Dad, which looked beautiful, but the real star of the show for me was the Bread 🍞 🍞 Pudding. I’ve had a lot of bread pudding in my time, but this one is divine. What truly sets it apart is the balance; it isn’t overwhelmingly sugary like so many others. It is perfectly executed—rich and flavorful without being cloying. This is officially the first bread pudding I’ve ever had that is "just right" in terms of sweetness. Whether you're looking for a gift for family or a treat for yourself, you can't go wrong here. Just give yourself a few extra minutes to stare at the display case—you’re going to need them!

Hidden gem in the Scripps/Poway Suburb. Coffee, breakfast food, lunch, dinner (on certain days). First time visit and got the corn beef hash Benedict. Eggs cooked perfectly and corn beef slices were plentiful. Cortado was cut right with equal part milk and espresso. Friendly staff and corporate ops is upstairs working away while you dine beside them. Will want to try lunch and even dinner.

Not sure why ratings are high, i give this spot 1.5 stars. Presentation is good as proof by the pics, but food is just OK. Its way too expensive for just OK. Some of the food items were very good like the corned beef hash & eggs and the avocado trio. My biggest complaint is that this is a bakery and their baked goods were horrible. The pecan sticky bun was so dry, kind of hard, & even after warming it, none of us cared for it. French toast might as well been from ihop. The matcha cake was was super dry and didn't taste like matcha, simply green cake. All of the food items were very bland except for the corned beef hash. Everyone had to salt their food or/and add hot sauce to give it flavor. My kid said the matcha latte tasted like milk with sugar, no matcha taste at all. Wife liked the Honey Cinnamon. I got drip coffee, $5 for 8oz cup, refills $3. That part annoyed me. Most diners and breakfast spots have free refills on drip coffee. Upstairs dinning area is small but there was a table available, which needed clearing. An employee was restocking cups and stir sticks at the water station and was kind of scanning the room. I assumed he was available and when i asked if he could clear the table, he got an attitude. After clearing and wiping the table there was still food items on it. There were no napkins available so i went to the restroom to get paper towels to wipe off the table cause there was no one around. As far as the food, the one positive is that it did come out quickly.
