OneZo Bubble Tea – Philadelphia

I am quite impressed by the quality of service at this location. The employees were so kind and able to answer any questions. They also encouraged joining their loyalty club (free), which allows guests to receive a free drink on their birthday. I felt welcomed with smiles and loved the calm environment. The Taro Smoothie was amazing, and I added the brown sugar boba. Absolutely would recommend!

I realized that not all bubble tea is the same. OneZo Bubble Tea in Philadelphia’s Chinatown is special because their tapioca is hand made daily with different flavors. You can also choose the level of sugar content and level of ice. I had the Passion Fruit Slush and it was very tasty and high quality. You can tell it was made with the highest standard. The owner is a boba expert. Being a boba expert means understanding much more than whether a drink tastes good. It starts with learning the fundamentals of tea, how different varieties are brewed, and how they influence flavor. An expert also evaluates the quality and texture of the tapioca pearls, the balance of sweetness, the freshness of the ingredients, and how well the tea, milk, and toppings complement one another. Making a cup of boba is far more labor-intensive than many people realize. It begins with carefully brewing high-quality tea to achieve the right strength and flavor. Separately, dried tapioca pearls are boiled, stirred constantly to prevent sticking, then allowed to rest until they reach their signature chewy texture. The pearls are drained and soaked in a brown sugar syrup so they absorb sweetness and develop their rich caramel flavor. With that in mind, enjoy and savor the products! Highly recommended!

If you love boba tea, you need to come here!!! Best boba in the city in my opinion. The staff are sweethearts, and the drinks are highly customizable with great variety of combinations. What sets OneZo apart is that the boba is made fresh daily and it's hot. Combined with the cold drink, you get a temperature difference that's a really pleasant experience. It's worth walking to the edge of Chinatown to get it over others! My favorite so far is the sesame oolong milk tea with taro boba. I also liked that I could choose between two different teas as a base to the drink. The atmosphere is great, the space has a clean feel to it and it is relatively spacious with comfortable seating. It was a great place for me to read a book for an hour as well. I think about this boba often and wish I lived closer so I could come even more!

Drove by and tried to check out the place, but this place will be opening tomorrow will revisit again to see! Got to stop by and tried the boba tea today. I love that they have a variety of boba options. Got my drink for 50% sugar, and was told it’s the regular sugar level. I think it’s better be remind that 50% sugar is still very sweet lol. The 50% sugar tastes like 100% sugar for me lol. Will definitely try different drinks with lower sugar level! Ps. I think the strawberry boba is overly sweet. Make the whole drink too sweet. And it will get soggy later make the drink not that enjoyable. The brown sugar black tea latte was good.

Very good boba, high quality tea. I got the lychee milk green tea with 25% sugar, I think it’s very good. Store is decorated nicely. Big menu with lots of options for customization. Definitely try it out!
