Sign in to reviewLet me start off by saying that i have been coming to this Bakery for over 15+ years probably since it has been opened. They do have good tasting bread and cakes as well, so this review has taken me a while to post but i do feel it necessary to post as i had an unpleasant experience. I had placed an order for a 2 tiered cake with filling for my son’s birthday, The cake was personalized so i placed the order with time ahead and paid for it in advance. About 15 minutes after receiving the cake and leaving the store I noticed the cake had completely slid right off of the bottom part of the cake. I was surprised, because the day was not hot so there was no reason for it to melt off and i had laid it on a smooth surface as i have always done with all previous cakes i have ordered. When I called the bakery to let them know what had happened, the lady who answered the phone pretty much told me that it was my fault the cake slid, it was due to me taking a hard turn or not leaving it on a smooth surface. I told her 2 tiered cakes normally have a base in the middle to hold the 2 cakes together and she stated that they only do that for 2 tiered cakes with larger bases which made no sense. they could have easily put a straw in the middle or something to hold them together. I was already pretty upset since it had slid off but at this point i just wanted a cake to present to the guests. So the lady advised that she could offer a cake from the glass container (pre-baked). At this point, as a customer I just wanted a solution to the problem and not point fingers. When i got up to the bakery for the replacement that was promised over the phone, the same lady tells me that "No, i had to pay for the new cake, she was not going to replace it because she did not give me the cake that way and she was not going to do anything about it" at this point i was extremely upset as she just made me waste my gas and time to go up there which is something she could have just told me over the phone to begin with. I then asked her to speak to a manager and she said no, I asked her who i could talk that is above her to make this right and she completely refused, she refused to give me a name or phone number or to even take my name and give it to her manager. She just said just call back to the bakery tomorrow to which i asked and what if you are the one who answers the phone and her answer was just a shrug of "i am not doing anything to help you" I left the bakery in complete shock and complete disappointment in this bakery’s customer service. I would NOT recommend them for you cake needs as the product received was not presentable for an event and to top it off their customer service was complete GARBAGE!
I stared going to this place some months ago and I thought it was a good place.. bread is ok. . But what is not ok is the bad actitud of this ladies working there. They supose to close at 9:00 pm, and be gentle with customers, but If they see you walking to the door and is 10 or even 15 min before 9 they lock the door in your face, they ignore you if you try to talk to them, they turn off the lights and you can see theyr faces, like they hate everything, hate their life working there, and I think they hate each other in there.. Not the most friendly people once they attend you. They need an isolated job far from people like night cleaning. Not going back to this place!!.
I love this bakery for their pan dulce but lately it has been more pan than dulce. Not sure what’s going on but I hope they fix it soon. I was embarrassed when I recommended this bakery to some family visiting from out of town.
Went here recently and bought a bunch of sweet bread. However, after only two days, it was moldy. It seems like the bakery was waiting for the bread to sell before they baked a fresh batch. If you see a bunch of empty trays or if there aren't that many breads on display, be wary about buying.
I walked in to this bakery last night at 8:47pm. I was aware that they closed at 9 however all I wanted was some conchas. As soon as I walked in to the store the cashier looked at me as I was grabbing the tray and tongs and LOUDLY said OMG and then said UGHHHHHH and rolled her eyes. She quickly grabbed the keys to lock the front door and flipped the open sign off. I stood there processing what she had just done right to my face so I decided to just put the tray down and walk out. I will NOT return to this place ever again. That is not a way to treat a customer. I was not going to take more than 2 minutes getting what I wanted. I feel bad for the owners that will be losing business if this young lady continues to treat customers like this.
