Pho is a popular choice here, with reviews highlighting rare steak and well-done brisket pho as well as combination pho. Guests describe flavorful broth and plentiful side toppings, and note that even a medium bowl can be filling. Experiences with the broth vary: some diners especially enjoy its flavor, while others find it more like a standard pho broth. That range of impressions makes it useful to read the menu and reviews with your own preferences in mind. If you enjoy customizing a bowl with the accompanying toppings, or want a substantial noodle soup, pho is a natural place to start.
Beyond pho, reviewers mention Vietnamese egg rolls and noodle bowls. The egg rolls have been praised for their portion size, while noodle bowls are recommended by one diner for their variety and satisfying servings. Hot tea is also mentioned as an order accompaniment. These are customer observations rather than a promise that every visit will be identical, but they offer a practical picture of what people have enjoyed. For a meal with more than one dish, the menu’s pho, rolls, and noodle bowls give guests a few familiar Vietnamese options to consider.
The atmosphere is described as casual and old-school, with one reviewer affectionately calling it a “hole in the wall.” Some guests appreciate that unpolished neighborhood feel, while others may find the setting dated. Reviews also describe the service as good and welcoming, and one takeout customer felt the restaurant had a family-owned character. Phở 89 may suit diners looking for a relaxed, unpretentious meal, a filling bowl at a fair price, or takeout to bring home. First time trying this place out. I ordered the large P2 rare steak and well done brisket. It was sooo good. Broth was full of flavor, great portions on the side toppings as well. I also ordered a hot tea. I don't know what made me think I could finish a large Pho, I got through half and was so full. Parking is a little limited but we'll worth the visit. I will be coming back!
Came here for dinner and got a medium combination pho which had great portion sizes and tasted good. I also got an order of Vietnamese egg rolls which were also good the portion was great. Also not too over priced. Customer service was good. The ambient is a little outdated like old school type of vibe but nothing to complain about.
This is my favorite pho place. I spent a few years *intentionally* avoiding this place and trying different phos, but I came back recently and it was still sooooooo good! Food is consistently good, atmosphere is consistently "how many uncles come here after dark????". Price is always fair too, they're the last restaurant to raise prices in this crazy economy. The P1 pho is so yummy, but I've tried the other cold noodles and spring rolls and everything consistently hits the mark. The owner is so kind and always gives you punch cards. I have like 12 with 1 stamp on them. Come here and eat pho!!!
Came in last night to pick up my pho order. Customer service was beautiful, seemed like a family owned restaurant which I personally love! I’ve been trying so many different pho restaurants lately and I haven’t found the right one until …
Decent standard for Vieteats. Recommend the noodle bowls. Good portions and variety. Pho broth was average, nothing really stood out. Roll was just ok. Love the fact this place actually has a hole in the wall.
