Phở Cyclo Café is a Vietnamese restaurant at 2124 S Broad St in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in the Snyder area of South Philadelphia. It offers a place to explore familiar Vietnamese comfort food alongside regional dishes that may be less common on a typical restaurant menu. Customer reviews highlight flavorful phở, bún bò, bún mắm, bún đậu mắm tôm, and cơm tấm, making this a useful stop for diners looking for variety as well as a warming bowl of noodle soup. The restaurant is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 9:15 p.m., according to its listed hours.
Phở is one of the dishes customers mention most warmly. Reviewers describe the broth as savory and well seasoned, and one diner recommends adding chili oil and other spices to bring out the flavors. If you enjoy adjusting a bowl to your taste, that detail may be especially appealing. Guests also call out bún bò as a favorite, describing its aroma and distinctive broth as different from versions they have tried elsewhere. These comments point to dishes with their own character, rather than a menu centered only on the best-known Vietnamese staples.
For a shared meal or a more adventurous order, reviews point to bún đậu mắm tôm, a platter served with fermented shrimp sauce. One group ordered it to share; the strong, distinctive sauce was not for every diner at the table. That candid feedback is useful if you are deciding what to order with friends: the platter may suit people who already enjoy fermented shrimp paste, while newcomers may prefer to ask about the sauce or choose another dish. Bún mắm is another customer favorite, and cơm tấm has also earned praise.
The atmosphere has been described by a reviewer as an authentic, mom-and-pop Vietnamese restaurant. That impression, combined with a broad selection of dishes mentioned by customers, may make Phở Cyclo Café a good fit for neighborhood meals, casual lunches, and dinners with friends or family. It can also appeal to diners curious about Vietnamese flavors beyond phở, including people who want to try a dish they have not ordered before. With a 4.5-star rating across 325 reviews, the restaurant has received substantial local feedback, though individual experiences can differ.
Before visiting, note that the listed address is 2124 S Broad St, Philadelphia, PA 19145, and the posted hours are 10:00 a.m.–9:15 p.m. every day. One reviewer reported that a tip was added to the bill automatically and objected to the practice; this is an individual account, not confirmation of the restaurant’s current billing policy. If the final check matters to your plans, it may be sensible to review it and ask staff about any added charge. Overall, customer comments make Phở Cyclo Café a promising option for savory phở and a wider-ranging Vietnamese meal in South Philadelphia.

It was a very authentic Vietnamese moms and pops restaurant around Snyder. Couple friends and I ordered the bun dao mam tom platter to share. I think it was a bit adventurous for my friends personally, as 2 out of 3 didn’t like the fermented shrimp sauce so much to eat with the rest of the food. I did enjoy it however, I agreed it may take a bit to get used to. The papaya salad is average, can be a bit spicier. The squab was very good! I would definitely return to try other dishes in the restaurant!
This restaurant automatically adds a tip to your bill without asking. When I questioned it, they said the reason was that many customers leave without tipping, so they have to do this to make sure they get tips from customers. To me, this is no longer a suggested tip but a forced tip. I absolutely do not recommend this place to anyone.
My favorite Vietnamese restaurant currently because there are so many good options here. Bún bò is a must try. It smells really good and the broth is very well-seasoned. The taste is very different from the bbh at other places. Another must try is bún mắm. Although they only have cabbage and lettuce and not the typical veggie that comes with bún mắm, it is still very good. You get roasted pork, fish, shrimp, and squid. Mì vịt tiềm is also delicious. Hủ tiếu khô is okay, it is very saucy and on the sweeter side. The meat in bún chả is tender and well seasoned, but the noodle is not that good, a bit overcooked. Also the bowl is really small so it is hard to eat. Although it is called phở cyclo, but phở here is meh. Bột chiên is decent, a bit too crispy imo. The wait time can sometimes be long and it's a pretty small place.
My favorite Vietnamese Pho with great flavor and savory hot gravy. Add a little chili oil and other spices add flavor to the perfect combination.
I always come here for the Bun Dau Mam Tom!!!! so good everytime, I also tried Com Tam and they also tasted delicious!!
