Pho Ga Thanh Thanh is a Vietnamese restaurant at 6201 N Front St Unit 115 in Philadelphia, PA, known especially for chicken pho. Customer reviews frequently praise the chicken broth for its gentle, light-bodied character and satisfying flavor, along with juicy chicken. If you usually choose beef pho, this may be a good place to try a different style: several diners say the chicken soup changed their minds about what pho can be. The appeal here is not a heavy or intensely seasoned bowl, but a more delicate broth that customers describe as flavorful in its own right. Preferences vary, of course, and the lighter style may not be what every pho lover is looking for.
Chicken pho is the standout choice mentioned by many reviewers, and the lime chili salt dip served with it is a memorable part of the meal. Some diners say the dip brings extra brightness and a lively, savory contrast to the chicken and broth. Whole cooked chicken is another customer-favorite order, described as simple and enjoyable. For a familiar alternative, the menu also includes beef pho: one reviewer enjoyed a regular rare beef bowl with vinegar onions, while another reported that the beef was tough and fatty. Those differing experiences are useful context if you are deciding what to order; the strongest and most consistent praise is for the chicken dishes.
The restaurant is also described by a reviewer as cute inside, making it a comfortable option for a casual meal. Hot tea is mentioned as a pleasant companion to chicken pho. The straightforward, comforting food may suit solo diners, couples, families, or anyone looking for a warm bowl of soup without a formal dining occasion. It could be especially appealing to chicken lovers and to people curious about a lighter take on pho. Reviews reflect different tastes, so consider the restaurant’s chicken specialty if you want to start with the dish customers praise most. The available feedback also suggests asking about accompaniments if you would like to enjoy the lime chili salt or vinegar onions with your order.
Pho Ga Thanh Thanh has a 4.2-star rating from 555 reviews, offering a broad snapshot of guest experiences rather than a promise that every visit will be the same. It is open Monday through Thursday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Its North Front Street location in Philadelphia makes it a local option for Vietnamese comfort food, particularly chicken pho and whole cooked chicken. Whether you are already a fan of chicken noodle soup or are usually loyal to beef pho, the restaurant’s distinctive lighter chicken broth gives you a clear reason to consider a visit.

Really enjoyed this place. I think they have the best pho ive tried in the city so far and their ceack sauce!! Sooo good! Definitely recommend and will be back. I ordered the regular rare beef pho with a side of vinegar onions. Also its so cute in here
Delicious chicken pho. Normally when we talk about pho, it will be beef pho, but in here, the chicken pho is best. The flavor of soup so nice and tasty. Chicken meat is juicy and fresh. You can have some hot tea, they are so good together.
I always get their whole cooked chicken, so simple but so good. I think their chicken pho is phenomenal - some say it’s bland, but to me it’s not bland it’s just a lighter broth…its still flavorful to me and the accompanying lime chili salt dip they give makes everything 20x better. Also, the young kiddos that work there are very sweet and accommodating. Update - You’ve gotta try their new chicken rice dish. Im addicted 😋 I also tried their beef pho for the first time today, and I have NEVER had meatballs SO flavorful in my pho - 10/10❤️
The best!! chicken pho ever. As a strict beef pho eater and previous chicken pho hater, this restaurant changed my opinion. The broth is so light, but still so flavorful and rich. I don’t recommend the even thinking about the beef pho. Just get the chicken. You will not regret it
I decided to try this place today as it is closer than my other favorite Pho places. I was actually quite disappointed. Although they specialize in chicken Pho I ordered the beef pho. The beef was fatty and very tough, I couldn’t eat most of it. I was also disappointed at the lack of offerings on the menu. Unfortunately I will not be returning based on this experience. I will note that the woman working was very kind and inviting, it is unfortunate though that the food did not live up to previous reviews I had read.
