Food is the center of the experience. I’ve been coming to Pho Ha Noi since their soft opening—we live nearby and have visited at least 10 times. It’s been one of our go-to spots for a long time. Overall, the service has been great. There’s one female server in particular (long hair, glasses) who has taken care of us many times—she’s always warm, sweet, and genuinely welcoming, which we really appreciate. The food was excellent in the beginning and is a big reason we kept coming back. However, our visits over the past month have been a bit disappointing. We ordered the vermicelli pork with spring rolls, and it felt noticeably different—drier than before, and now made with bacon. Even the pickled vegetables tasted different, which was surprising. The chicken pho, which used to be our favorite, also didn’t meet expectations recently. The chicken portion seemed smaller and the meat was dry, which really took away from the dish. One other thing we noticed is that the sriracha seemed much spicier than before. When we asked, we were told it’s the original. That said, there are still some dishes we really enjoy and would recommend—especially the spring rolls, egg rolls, and the fish sauce chicken wings. We’re not sure if we just visited at off times, but we do hope the quality returns to what it used to be. We’ll still give it more chances because we’ve had so many great experiences here—but we hope this isn’t a trend.

I got the Pho Ga with thigh meat, and we also got the Nem cuong fresh rolls. The fresh rolls seem to be consistent among the locations and does have the fried oil stick for texture which is great. The pho however didn’t taste quite as good as the San Jose Viettown location. While it tasted watered down, the fresh noodles and the chicken was very tender and delicious. If only the broth were as consistent among the locations, it would be perfect in my opinion.

Incredible experience with an elevated level of Vietnamese cuisine. My first impression of this place has left a special place in my heart. From the decor to the service, including the robot moving across the floor. All items are well executed, and the presentation is very inviting. For the price, the portions are great, and easy to share among a group. Definitely coming back to this place

Pho Ha Noi is known for its great dish selection and flavorful soup, and I’ve always been a fan of the San Jose location. But the service at this Milpitas location is even better, and the ambiance is great. I’ll definitely be visiting this location from now on!

The pho was really good, especially the meat. The meat quality is higher than most pho restaurants. There was a lady making a waffle and we were debating whether to get one or not. She just handed us half for free! That was so nice of her. 💕
